Well, alcohol impares your good judgement. Therefore, the chances of someone making a poor decision and screwing up their life is increased dramatically. I think you have just been lucky so far.

I've drank alcohol more times than I can count up to and I've never done anything I regret.

YET!

If you continue to drink alcohol irresponsibly or excessively, you will end up doing something you regret. I can guarantee you that. 100%

I remember one night I had a fifth of Bacardi and a fifth of Tanqueray. Me and my cousin were doing shots of Bacardi, then chasing it with the Tanqueray, after he knocked down a bottle of MD 20/20 and me and my brother and his girlfriend put down a bottle of Crown Royal.
This is even more full of crap than your usual posts.

Well when i am drunk, i will not go anywere with anyone, defenetly not if there drunk or under the influence and i never plan to drink and drive, and its not like i do all this alot so im not a drunk or a stoner, its just sometimes and the time i put before was a bad idea and thats the only time ive ever drank that much and wasnt very fun at the end of the night.

And Joey, sry for breaking the rules

So four people drinking their way through a 250ml bottle of Crown Royal, one guy drinking his way through some 20/20, and two guys drinking about 1/3 of each fifth of Bacardi and Tanqueray is crap?

Uh, sorry, I fail to see your logic and/or reasoning there. Perhaps you should gain the tolerance to alcohol we have, and then tell me I'm full of crap.

How old are you? 17? I find it so funny when little boys brag about how much they can drink.

You have no idea of the meaning of tolerance to alcohol.
You haven't even been alive long enough to develop a tolerance to it. You're barely off your mama's tit.

But Duke, the things he's done and seen in his time would make you blush little boy. Now walk on home son.

Did someone say Bacardi? :p :p Bottoms up! :trouble:

Yes, I have no tolerance to alcohol, but I can still outdrink my father, mother, 27 year old cousin, 23 year old brother, 20 year old friend, and his 40-50 year old father. But you're right, I have no tolerance to alcohol.

*Looks at collection of 50+ liquor bottles, all put down personally(With help, but not a whole lot)*

Yep, no tolerance whatsoever.

Say, for a 30 year old, you sure seem to be as dimwitted and/or thick headed as most 13-14 year olds I know.

PS-I'm not your son.

WOW! I'm absolutely amazed! Shocked even.

So you managed to outdrink people that have little or no tolerance to alcohol either. Or is your entire family a bunch of lushes?

But hey, that's quite the accomplishment! Your parents must be proud of you.

Hell, I even think you're cooler.

Out of boredom, here's a good chunk of the collection. There's still maybe 20 bottles upstairs that I was too lazy to go get. Notice all the Fire Water and Tanqueray? Good stuff :)

Well, boom, my mom and dad are both alcoholics, my cousin served in the military, and my brother just plain and simply likes to drink. My friend thinks it's funny to see how much he can drink before he passes out, and his dad owned a brewery.

Talking smack to a guy on the internet is an astounding accomplishment, boom. Your parents must be proud of you. I think you're a complete and total idiot now.

Man you are all lightweights.I drank a 12 pack and smoked 2 jays last night.

To Boom, neither alcohol nor weed ever killed anyone its the dumbazzes that funk up that causes all the problems.I'v been drinking sense I was 15,And I'v never done anything I woulden't have done when I was sober.
i do realize that certain substances react differently do different people, but it really one takes one time to now your limit. So I guess what I'm saying is be smart, and only do it in moderation(meaning don't get smashed and/o stoned every night, and don't do so much that you make yourself sick,or worse)and you should be fine.Oh and if you think you might be getting hooked on it then go get some help.

Well, good advice, I just hope that people can see that.

I appologize Ghost, I just don't want you to become like your parents or myself, cus I battled, (and won), my addiction to alcohol. It just really pains me to see young adults talk about alcohol the way they do. All the advice in the world really means nothing to someone that is addicted to a substance. It get's such a strong hold on you before you even know it. And when you finally realize it yourself, you are just to far gone.

Don't get me wrong, I like to drink, but I know from experience (Parents and afformentioned ex) that becoming dependant on it is nothing I want to do. I'm basically a hardcore social drinker, being that I don't drink at all alone, but keep a few bottles around for when friends/family comes, and I can handle my own without it ending up all over the floor. That and I don't believe in mental addiction, and I've never developed a physical addiction to anything except Mountain Dew, which isn't bad at all :).

well I have to say keep it up Boom.My best friends mom was a alcoholic ,and I went to visited her at the hospital while she was going though detox.I know I'll probably never experience that for myself(knock on wood)but just seeing that made me never want to become an alcoholic, and I quite for a year just to make sure that I diden't have a problem, and to all the teens out there I strongly suggest that you check out the detox ward at a hospital, and if after that you still want to drink then so be it,but until you truly know the consequences then I don't think you should be able to drink.

Josh will find this ironic, but here goes...

I personally don't mind a drink, particularly beer and wine. Not a fan of the hard stuff, although a nice gin & tonic is a pleasant way to ease into the weekend. I'm not a heavy drinker by any stretch of the imagination - I generally don't drink during the week, and any more than 4 beers is a binge for me. Hard to run first thing in the morning if you had a bottle of wine the previous night!

That said - the Discovery Channel have this great series based in the ER room of a major US hospital, which goes into individual cases that come in, mostly trauma.

I have been astonished at how many of the cases are either direct results of alcohol, or where abuse of alcohol has caused complications.

Examples:
- a large gentleman, in his late 50s, has a car accident (didn't go into the causes). He's not superficially too badly damaged, but years of alcohol abuse have given him cirrhosis of the liver. The liver is injured in the accident, and because of the cirrhosis, it bleeds profusely, and fails a week later, the gentleman dies, never regaining consciousness
- an woman in her 60s comes into the ER. She has a severe cut on her top lip, a result of a fall while drunk. During the examination, it comes out that her and her husband drink an average of 6 beers a night each. It also comes out that her shoulder has been injured for around a year - and an X-Ray reveals the shoulder joint is completely out of its socket, and has been for over a year. This too was the result of a fall
- numerous fighting injuries as a result of drunkeness
- numerous drink-drivers injured or killed in accidents.

It's all very well being proud of drinking large amounts of booze, but bear in mind these things do have long term effects. It's a marvellous social thing when you have control of it, but it can be very destructive when it controls you.

I have never been drunk nor stoned.

I've been with my friends when they've been stoned, but I stayed away from it, and I'm glad because one of my friends started blacking out on my arm a few hours later, I didn't know what the hell was going on and I thought he might've had epilepsy (sp?) and the drug was triggering an attack, so I got one of his close friends along and we woke him up, he didn't know what was going on.

My dad drinks, not to the point where he is abusive, he just drinks because he wants to. But it turns out that his liver is failing among numerous other things, which means he's on a huge diet and doesn't go to the pub anymore.

The only time I've had any alcohol was when I swiped a miniture bottle of Jim Beam and had a mouthfull when I was about 11. Haven't touched any since.

They call that Hytro
I'v done it a couple of times when I was younger. It only took me 1 hit from a pipe to get stoned, and at the time I'v been smoking for about 3 years, and I smoked allot more back then So I can believe someone blacking out on that if they did to much I thought you were talking about reg pot.

Sounds out of hand as it is, to me.
Discussing illegal activities is in violation of the AUP, too.

Joey,

Don't know about where you live, but in Montana, you can drink at any age as long as you're on private property. BTW - I do not condone underage drinking, frankly I know too many alcoholics that have or are ruining their lives with excessive consumption to condone any drinking, but that's just me.

I think it can be done responsibly, but I haven't seen it in the last 4 years of playing in bars!

Hangovers suck. I only had to have a handfull of those before I changed my behavior permanently. I haven't been drunk in years and don't plan it any time soon. A couple beers over several hours is the extent of my alcohol consumpion. I do it rarely enough that I may get a little buzz from the first one. There is nothing the least bit enjoyable about being ****faced. Puking, falling down, and making an ass of yourself is not fun. The day after is just as bad. I used to know people who bragged about hangovers. Used to know.

As a High-School senior, I've experienced my fair share of underaged drinking. It's not a thing that I like to brag about, but it's something that I can have a good time doing when I'm with my friends. As long as the person who is drinking knows their limits and doesn't drink for the sole purpose of 'getting ****faced' I don't see that much of a problem with it. I know when I first started drinking I used to drink until I passed out, and blacked out a few times with nasty hangovers the next morning. Now I normally go out, have 5 or 6 drinks, and just enjoy the evening and the people around me.
