Hello everyone.
I have had the idea for a while to do a mini MX-5 Touring Car championship over an afternoon.
The best time to do this would be a Bank Holiday as Saturday's would have FIA.
The next Bank Holiday for the UK is Monday 3rd of May. So I am looking to put this on then. Hopefully you will want to join me.
I want to go all out and make it a teams championship too. This would be based off the stock colours of the car.
There are 7 colours:
White
Silver
Black
Green
Blue
Red
Yellow

Therefore we would have 2 of each. This leaves 2 empty slots on the grid. So I would be happy for someone to create a new colour to create 8 teams for a full grid. Any new livery would have to match the current ones. (Base colour, two racing stripes, etc..)
We have options as to how we sort teams, so your input is valued here.
1) First come first serve. You pick which car you want and if someone else beat you to your favoured colour or team-mate then pick a different option.
2) Randomise. Once the grid is full or a few days before the event, I randomise who goes into which team.
(Poll above.)

Championship details:
5 races
Goodwood
Blue Moon Infield A
Sardenga Road Track B
Kyoto - Yamagiwa
Saint Croix A

Car: Mazda MX-5 Touring Car.
Length: Each race will be 20 minutes long.
Fuel: x5
Tyres: x5
(These are not likely to be an issue.)
Tyre choice: Racing Softs
Start: Grid, false check
Grid Order: 5 min Qualifying first race and then reverse of previous race thereafter.
Damage: Light
BOP: Power and weight both at 100%

Points:
1st 30pts
2nd 25pts
3rd 22pts
4th 20pts
5th 17pts
6th 15pts
7th 12pts
8th 10pts
9th 8pts
10th 7pts
11th 6pts
12th 5pts
13th 4pts
14th 3pts

Stock liveries? Or are you looking for a somewhat modified stock livery?

Great to have you in.
The liveries would be stock as it was the easiest way to do a teams championship. What would you suggest for a modified livery?

GMT +9 time zone here so the earlier in the afternoon the merrier for me I guess...
Looking forward to this, it's the first GTP race I plan on entering since gt6.
Please be kind and gentle with rusty me.

Welcome.
Just a note we are in daylight savings and are in BST which is GMT+1 in case you need to adjust any calculations.

Hello all. I am leaving this as is until Friday to give people time to register still.
Thank you all for signing up. It is my first time hosting a lobby and hopefully all goes well and we have some great racing no matter the numbers.

I will be popping friend requests off as this will be a friends only lobby to stop people entering with the wrong car confusing things.
I will update you all on Saturday if any updates to the format are required.

Right o.k. so obviously there is no point doing the teams aspect, so that is out.
Instead I will change the points so we have Bernie's patented medal system.
Gold for a win, silver for 2nd, etc...
Most golds wins.

Thanks to @AfraidRacer & @gkgamer for the great races. Unfortunately Afraid had to leave after round 3 so we had to cut short. However we did have a winner after 3 rounds.

Round 1: Goodwood.
Qualification this round.
Grid was:
gkgamer
OJBrit
AfraidRacer

Final Result:
1st: Afraid Racer
2nd: gkgamer
3rd: OJBrit

Round 2: Blue Moon Bay Infield A
Grid: Reverse of last result.

Final Result:
1st: gkgamer
2nd: OJBrit
3rd: AfraidRacer

Round 3: Sardenga Road Course B
Grid: Reverse of last result.

Final Result:
1st: OJBrit
2nd: gkgamer
3rd: AfraidRacer

Totals:
Driver 1st 2nd 3rd
gkgamer 1 2 0
OJBrit 1 1 1
Afraid Racer 1 0 2

Congratulations to gkgamer for winning the Mayday Mazda MX-5 Madness.

I have an idea for a future series that will stretch over several rounds, so stay tuned for that at some point.

Thanks for the race guys, sorry I had to leave early but had a blast with this wonderful car. It was really easy to get up to speed with and the track list was perfect. Looking forward to more such events!
