Mazda 787B Race Car or Audi TDI Race Car?

Title.

So I grinded to 5,309,726 Credits (thank you Seasonal Events). The sole purpose is to buy the Mazda 787B because of its popularity & engine & stuff like that. However, there was the Audi TDI Race Car & it looked nice as well. However, the engine sound & the HP amount was a bit low in the demo compared to the 787B, but the car seems uncommon around here contrasted to the 787B.

What do you guys think is better? If you have another race car in mind, don't hesitate to post it!
 
I'd say 787b, it's a grou c car, which is systematically better than modern lmp cars, oddly. Plus you can put it into 5th and listen to the engine

Well, the Audi is a prize car for the A-Spec 'Ring 24H race if that makes a difference to you. As for which one I prefer to drive, I'd go with the 787B because the Audi is a little too "frisky" for my tastes and, quite frankly, I just think the 787B is more fun to drive.

The Audi R8 is the prize car. It is the Audi R10 in the dealership. I have the R10, and personally I'm not a big fan of the way it drives, very twitchy compared to something like the Peugeot 908. I can't comment on how the 787B drives as I don't own it yet.

Look again, the R8 is the prize car for the Le Mans 24H, the R10 is the prize car for the Nurburgring 24H
 
Definitely 787B,
I have both and would throughly recommend for you to buy the 787B since performance wise it beats the R10 on all fronts. Great fun to drive and is an absolute legend
 
Do yourself a favor and buy the Peugeot 908, just as fast if not faster.
And you save your self 1.5 million credits.
 
I have the 787B and the 908 and the 908 is smoother to drive and overall a bit faster - but the 787B is much more fun to drive simply because its that insane.
 
In spite of being the biggest Audi fan, my ranking would be:
1. Peugeot 908
2. Mazda 787b
3. Audi R8 race car '01
4. Audi R10

Now... If the R18 would be in the game it wouold be a different story. Even if it drove like the tank car I would rank it #1 based on its intimidating, menacing Teutonic appearance.
 
I have all those race cars ;)

The best of 3 is the Mazda 787B ;)
2nd place would be the Peugeot 908HDi
3rd place is for the Audi R10 TDI

I choose to put the Audi in 3rd position, just because the Peugeot has more power and (for me) a better handling...
If you make a small mistake, the R10 has the intention to spin out a lot faster than the Peugeot...
BUT I think the R10 is more beautiful :p

No doubt the Mazda is the better of those 3... Can't argue that :p
 
Thanks for the answers so far, guys! I guess the TDI is out, so there's now the 787B vs. the Peugeot 908 (the car is on my car wishlist, by the way).

First I couldn't choose either :p
I made a smart decision and choose the Mazda 787B ;)
Don't worry, you'll get all of them eventually :p
The Mazda is more usefull since you can also use it in almost all of the Japanese challenges (Japanese 90's etc...)
Very easy for B-spec as well ;)
You can't do so much races with the Peugeot :p

Bolded Text: I've finished every event in A-Spec except for the Endurance races, so I don't think It'll be much of a use for me in A-Spec.

It depends on the type of tracks you race on too. The LMP 1 cars (R10,908, etc.) are more suited to big sweeping tracks. The Group C styled cars (787, Sauber, etc.) have a shorter wheel base and corner better on tight twisting tracks.

My opinion:
Buy them all!
 
The 787B is an amazingly stable car. For me, it's hard to get it to slide or spin. Don't know about the 908, but it has more torque. R10 is right out.
 
787B hands down. Then get the 908. Save the Audi for last.

I've made my decision: The Mazda 787B. Besides, If It's not what I've hoped for, I can just trade with somebody via Marketplace.

I have all of these in my garage but have only driven the 787B & it's been one of my fav GT cars ever since I first drove it.

One can hope that one day that PD does add the R18 & other cars to GT5.
 
908 would get my vote over both the 787B and R10... 👍

I just find the 908 so easy to drive over any other LMP car.. The 787B sounds a lot better tho.
 
I have the 908 and the 787b. From what I've heard, they are both better than the R10.
The 908 and the 787b are pretty much as fast as each other. The 908 may have a slight edge in terms of maximum speed, but this will only be noticeable on Sarthe or possibly Indy/Daytona.
They both have very good handling.
For me though, the 787b has the edge. Also... Just listen to the engine...

Just checked out the R18 on google... What a beast! I know exactly what you mean about the 'Teutonic' appearance.
 
Something about the Group C cars and how crazy they were when they were fielded on the track makes me prefer them to the newer LMP cars. I wish PD had made premium models of other GC cars such as the Sauber, Jag and Nissan to go along with the very nicely detailed 787B.
