Hey, this is my first post and I thought i'd show some appreciation for my favourite car in the game. I havnt seen the car about on the forums either. My best lap round "Nürburgring" is 6.35 in this car, not the best but i could post a video if your interested. Let me know what you think of the pictures and i'll try and answer any questions to. :)

Special Stage Route 7

Nürburgring Nordschleife
With back fire.

High Speed Ring

This is my favorite car from GT4 and I plan on buying it tonight when I get my ps3 going (If I have the creds). It is amazing that such a fast modern looking car is 20 years old! Way ahead of its time in design.

yer sorry for duping the thread didn't think it got any recognition in the other place.

I love the car its the reason i got gt5 in the first place after having a long break from gt4 anf gt3 etc.

its so fast it took me ages to get it round nurburgring.

I want this car so bad but am struggling to find the time to earn the $5m to buy it. How does the gifting system work? If you gift a car to someone do you lose the car yourself?

I spent half the day looking up real videos of the 787B at work yesterday, the car is simply amazing. The sound...

That's the best thing about the car. In game the car sounds exactly like it does in real life. Especially when it's just at a stand still. It took me 3 and half hours to save up on the like the wind event. If you gift a car its gone until they gift it back to you.

Sorry, but it doesn't sound exactly as it should. This car should sound more like a Formula 1 car.
They got the idle right, but are nowhere near having the proper engine sound.

Yer I guess your right, idle though it sounds awesome.

Rotary ftw!
I searched for a long time on the marketplace to get this wonderful car for a nice trade as I'm still kinda broke.....Then I realized that it was included in the "stealth cars" DLC that I already had and was so happy :D

Bob is using it for the time beeing till I've got some time and catch up tu him, can't wait to drive endurance races with this car!

The 787B is pure eargasm.
I think it is one of, if not THE, best sounding engine(s) of all time.

The engine is amazing rotary engines all the way (y)

find it funny how you can turbo it aswell. lol

I've actually lost count of how many times i've swopped cars in the Garage just so I can re-select the 787B and hear it Start up again

Yeah the start up sound is amazing when you select it from your garage however in gameplay at high revs it sounds nothing like the real thing.

It was my favorite in GT4 as well but in GT5 there are a few other Group C cars that seem a little better this time around.

Just Ran a 6:8.8xx something at the Nurburgring Nordschleife :)

Now watching the Replay , I was nearly 6 Seconds up on the 2nd lap coming onto the main straight and made a hash of the kink under the bridge so ended up on the Grass :grumpy:

Gotta be able to get a sub 6 min lap in that Car just need to calm down a bit

The car sounds pretty good in game just doesnt get high pitched enough and keeps too much of the hard idle sound at high rpms. Sounds pretty damn close though.

yer i was gonna say i bet with practice you could get a sub 6 minute lap
i took it quite easy to get 6.30 i think with a little more practice i could get a 6.05 or something.

The track is so large shaving seconds off is quite easily done.

No it doesn't it sounds like a quad rotor Rotary :)
But it's too distorted in GT5 :(

Hardest Part is remembering where each corner goes and being carefull with the Throttle , even in 3rd gear the Car trys to spin the back end out :nervous:

Never thought i'd be able to drive that Car without TCS but it is possible .

I drive with all assists off i think its abs i have at 1, it gives a more authentic feel for the car.

I know Nurburgring quite well but towards the end i get lost (the section just before the straight). So at that point i take it steady. in some cases braking to much before i hit a corner which i could of gone round much faster.

Just to throw the cat amongst the pigeons....

Nissan R92CP >>> Mazda 787B
