so is it so.. that you can't do any modifications to your madza in this race...?

omg... it will last forever then... no na tuning, port polishin, computer chip... nothing...?!? cos that's what i heard...

pleaze tell me it's not true!!!!

how long did it take you?

i have about 1/2 an hour in the morning to race with. about 10 mins of that i get interuptions

As mentioned elsewhere, I really enjoyed that race - the Miata's a joy to drive with the GT-Force steering wheel, and because the little fella's so kind to his tyres, the superhard tyres last forever - you can really focus on nailing apexes, maximising cornering speed, braking points etc.

I went into a sort-of trance for the last 15 laps and was genuinely surprised when the race finished.

It's not that long. Really. I don't see why so many people b*tch about this race.
Me either. It only took me like 1 1/2 hours, and then there was the constant threat of being overtaken if I spun or anything, but then I won by a couple laps. :D

thank you... :D
well i'm not b*tchin about the race... just wantd to know....
i like mazda's too... well at weekend gotta race it.... :D

Yeh, takes a little less than an hour and a half to complete this race...

That's why I put a "yeh" in front...;)

yea it is really easy because the 2nd place pits every 3 laps and i had medium tires and i pit every 10 laps,(at the beginning he will beet you but after a couple of pits you will be in first for good)

I did the whole thing with 2 stops on Super Slicks. It's fun for a while, but then when the AI's daft pit strategy takes it out of the game, it's a bit dull.

I've always had an affinity for the stock MX5 after I completed its S-License and Time Trial tests the first time out in each case. :)

I disagree with Dodge and Sandstorm. It takes roughly 1 hour, 8 minutes to do the race. T3s front, T4s rear, stop every 8.

What I´d like to know is, how do you guys remember each and every little detail about - it would seem - almost every race in the whole game. If I mention S7 you lot could probably (without looking) name the track, the car, the times, the everything...

Well guy´s. Hats off to ya all. Now tell me that you´ve all got extensive lists of replays...please :odd:

N.

lose your life an go on gtp all the time and you will find out  jk guys, i know you like the game alot, and you don't have to exactly remember...just have a rough idea. its pretty easy to estimate if you sat through a specific race with a specific car.

I think it took me around 1 hr 15 minutes...mainly cause i'm a slow driver...can't exactly remember though.

I DO have a list of replays, but it's not too extensive... I'm working on it at the moment - stopping being lazy, filing the Xport replays properly, firing up WinAce :D That kind of thing...

Well, you figure it's 40 laps with about 1:30 per lap. So it's about an hour give or take (I don't remember my time, but I only pitted once). But I kinda like that race because if you're starting over from 0%, you can get all gold on B license, get the LS, slap super slicks or whatever on it, get your IA, and make it your first race. The random car is just gravy (awesome if you get an F-1), but now you have 100k to start with instead of 18k. If you have the patience, you can do the race again and get even more starting cash.

I got the Miata LS from gold in B license tests. Put on super-slicks and it took me about 1:15... but if I tried really hard I probably could have done it in 1:05. I tend to get bored and then mess around a lot.

Bet you can't do it in 1h 05 - not without skipping the chicane every lap.

Reckon you can beat Flinx by 25s in ANY race?

Well, I was guesstimating that it's an hour or so. Looks like I'm off. :-P I doubt any of us can beat that time by any conventional means. We can try to sneak an hybrid in that is "legal" for the race though. ;)

Reckon you can beat Flinx by 25s in ANY race?

that makes me reasonably close then a i ran this the other night, finished it in 1:08.***.*** (couldnt remember the rest) and ran it with T2's front/rear pitted on lap 20 but just about reckon i couldve got 27-30 laps out of them, best lap i think was a 1:39

and no I dont think i could beat Flinx by 25's in any race, or Arco either for that matter (for those that dont know, this guy is Super Mega Bloody quick :)

big p as well... Nearly got the little bugger this week though... 0.3s Grrrr! :D

Injected - obviously you go quicker if you don't mess around. But idle boasts? Not good.

welll.. i tried this race.... after 2 laps i give up...
cos i was in last place and it seemd i can't chase them... i got my madza miata mx5 1,8i.... what the heck?!!?!?!?!?

and in the qualify i was about 4 seconds behind the first car (same car as mine)

what's this all about...?!?!

should i wait for AI to pit in..?? is that the point??
cos i'm not so bad driver, atleast not in this track, theres no hard turns or anything... how can ai go so much faster....

but what i've read from here. it's all about pittin....?:odd:

The Miata LS has a beginning HP of 156 compared the other 3 at 138, 126, and 114. To improve on that, break the car in (Run it about 100 or so miles) and THEN give it an oil change. Give the car super slick tires and you should have a sizeable advantage over the CPU contestants. With super slicks, it is possible to pit only once out of those 40 laps. The CPU cars will pit able every 5-7 laps. So even if you start dead last, you still have a chance.
