This car is amazing. From the whine and high revs of it's 3rotor, to the way it looks as you turn assists off and let this wild car slide through corners. My question is, who uses this frequently and tunes it? I'm not at my PS now; I will post my setup later. I setup all my cars right now particularly because I'm grinding the Turbo Challenge High Speed Ring in expert series. My best times usually are a 1:02:xxx first lap, and 0:57.xxx is my best; I have yet to hit under 57.

Also, tell me what assists you're using. When I turn all of them off, when I'm lucky I can run a 0:59.xxx :)

I have been using the Furai a fair bit, i just keep it as it is and put the Racing Soft tyres on it, i have been using it without TC, if the game would let you you could change the gears but that does not seem possible even with "fully customisable gearbox".it's fun but I do lose control every few laps lol

Ride Height: - 3 front -1 rear
spring rate: 13.5 front 15 rear
damper extension and compression: 5 front 7 rear
anti-roll bars:3 front 4 rear

camber angle .2 front .3 rear
toe angle: .0 front .2 rear

top speed: 237 (i think and if it's off an mph or two then it's that click lol).

Throw on some racing slicks and it'll put down 3 minutes and a second on the three lap HSR for the grind.. I'm also tuning an R33 Skyline LM I found in the used :). I'm tuning off a setup I saw on GTVault and will post if anyone's interested.

Even turning TC on 1 I guarentee you'll put down a faster lap time. Then again I'm using Dualshock and SixAxis lol. I rarely turn TC off, unless the slicks hold the car. Also turn it off for some license tests for gold, and I'll leave it off for drifting :o.

I'm tuning my Mazda atm, finding playing onliner very useful as you can do a lap on Nurburgring and then tune it again, go out again, and the Nurburgring has such variety that it really tests the car, I'm currently trying to induce a bit more understeer into my Mazda to counter the oversteer, I do seem to be getting there atm, just requires careful throttle control but if you touch the grass you're in the wall simple as! :P I'll post it up when I get a bit further on with it and see what you all think, shall work on either tonight or over weekend and post it next week.

I TOTALLY underestimated this car. I am using this tuning on B-Spec and it is killing it, seriously..pretty good against these 900hp race cars...and I can't play A-Spec cause I am disabled, so awesome!

Are you sure? I used the same tuning settings and my fully tuned Furai would always get 12th and cant even touch Group-C Cars.

So far this car has me unimpressed :grumpy: 👎

Give me a minute and I will post up my settings for this car. Love this car and have been using it for a while. It does really well against them 900hp race cars because its so light, its almost half the weight of them cars. Its got a way better power to weight ratio, Let me sign in on my PS3 in a lil bit here and ill post it up. I spent 2 hours tunning the car to the way I liked it. Not everyones specs are gonna work for you, i got an idea from a buddy of mine, and it was way off for me that i had to start from scratch lol. Anyway ill get them posted up here in the next 10-20 mins

So here are the Spec's for how I set up my Furai, feel free to try it out, hopefully you like it.

Front Rear
-5 Ride Height -7
12.4 Spring Rate 12.7
6 Dampeners (extension) 4
5 Dampeners (compression) 3
4 Anti Roll Bars 5

Camber is 0.5 front and rear. and toe was 0.0 front and 0.20 Rear.

Downforce set to max on front and rear. Transmission Set to 205mph,
LSD - 23,60,20, in that order from top to bottom...
Hope this helps.

Some good setups in this thread. In a different thread, someone posted a setup with an extremely stiff suspension- which is terrible for the Furai. I've seen other bad tunes for cars...why do people do this? Can anything be done?

It's quickly becoming my favorite car!!! Not a ton of horsepower but who needs it when it weighs 6XX KG!!!!! Not to mention it looks like a damn alien! Can't wait to get a tranny tune. Then it'll be death to all!!!!!!

I just tried this car out for the first time yesterday, after having had it in the garage for several months. Usually concept cars aren't very good, but the hp/weight ratio convinced me to take it for a drive. As others have said, even out of the box it's a beast. I love the way it slides, pretty easy to control even for a ham fist like myself. I think it looks fantastic too. I'll just keep enjoying it as is for now, and if I need it faster, I'll be back in here to try one of these tunes.

well im new here, at least to the forum cuz ive been racin in gt since gt2, but i did a tune on this car that is outrageous, and i think i should share it with the world. it was matching, or beating, my fully tuned zr1 rm with a solid tune on it. at least on anything not super high speed lol.
this is all fully upgraded, with race tires when i did it.
