I would just like point out that I have searched alphabetically through pages of cars, have then gone on to make a suggestion, only to be given a link to a thread with exactly the same bloody car I thought no one had suggested yet

No, the car lit a fart and set itself on fire. Only Mazda knows if the remains of it still exist, I think it does though, just in a secret warehouse somewhere.

And because of that, PD probably won't make it an premium upgrade

Judging from the gruesome pics, only the body was damaged. The monocoque may not have suffered any damage. If it did, the car is done.

It was the engine, if not mistaken.

We still don't know what caused it in the first place

The cause of fire was the using of ethanol fuel & ethanol is extremely flammable.
You know that the engine burns fuel, so using ethanol fuel caused that.
And by the way Top gear are knuckle heads because they drove it at high speeds.
The top speed of the furai is not just 310km\h as in GT.. It's higher than that.
Go to youtube & watch the furai on track. You'd see that after each lap they enter the pits to insure that the car doesn't catch on fire...
Add to that, they said E100 this means 100% ethanol! They totally lost their mind

Maybe.. because this car is meant to be a GT1 car in the first place. Especially with number 55 on the hood which gives you the feeling that this car is a tribute to the 787B & uses a new highly developed 3 rotor-rotary engine.

By the way good idea if also PD did that
