Thank you so much for the tune, GR-Drifter!

It was very challenging for me but the car was perfect for this event!

No problem bro,anytime!!!

Guys you can use the same setup on Mazda MX-5 V-Special Type 2 (NA,J)'93,too.
Only thing,no supercharger on this one,put turbo stage 3 for power or stage 2 for more torque. As you like!!!

Thank you @GR_Drifter for the tune with massive camber as it should on a drift set-up. It is very steady although I struggled to find the proper drift line that score points! Then I watched your awesome replay and saw your unbelievable angles!! After some tries I managed to get around 8700 points and that was fine for me! Keep it up!

Thanks πατριώτη!!! Keep in mind that u must aim at each corners kerb(the middle of corner).Your line must be out-in-out.This is how the point system works.

Yeah you must be precise or else you won't get points. Thanks again φίλε!! Wish you the first place on the event although being on top ten drivers is something extraordinary !

Dunno about this one, found it a bit dull. I did struggle with consistently getting a good line through the first corner. Used an '89 with turbo, won't be going back.

If I could just put my best sector times together in one run I'd be in the 11,000 range but so far I've failed to do so. Really struggle for consistency on the last sector - every time I'm on a good run I blow it on that corner. :grumpy:

You start drifting as soon you see the start flags on last session and you keep sliding left side.Middle of session-corner u start aim at right exit flag.Play with your throttle and angle to get there.U can earn 2500-3400 points on last session only.Try it.

With this setup and car 9.375 points and 638th place so far.

@GR_Drifter Many Thanks! :bowdown:

at my problem with drifting, is my cars oversteer into a gradual 180 to the outer flag, even with a controlled entry, and a decent mid drift, with good countersteer, and just when the feeling of return comes, it just keeps over rotating instead.

I watched the video above (1st 10 mins) demonstrating the 6 techniques, I find myself to liftoff or feint oversteer, that is my natural style. I won't touch e-brake that just sends the car to instant 270 for me...

interesting to see brakes to induce drift, didn't know it could even do that, goes to show my knowledge of drifting.

tried different setups, with a softer front, and higher front toe-in (helped a bit for the exits)

I like using comfort meds, maybe I'll try the hards, I just like the feeling of that grippy tire spinning for mass points, and hybrid feel to not have the car slide around all of the time..

I just need more practice, perhaps try out a good tune from here,

does chassis reinforcement help? say on a MX-5 lightweight car

tl;dr my main problem, is to help exit a drift without oversteer. TM wheel paddle shift.
maybe I'm too hard on the throttle from the get go, leading to excess power to oversteer, even if it seems all great on entry, and mid, up to three quarters even. just that last exit, car gets a buggy feeling. this is my experience on three separate drift trials so far.

the best feeling I've had , weren't drift trials, they were natural drifts on circuit driving using sport mediums on Apricot Hill in stock Lamborghinis. turn if you want, drift when you want, exit with finesse, or exit with a smoke show. I wish to replicate this feel, in a drift trial.

I have close to 30 years real road driving experience, in all seasons, in all drivetrains, and I can't seem to replicate what I want to do, in these drift trials, at the wheel.

Yeah, your right Max,very easy challenge this time for gold and money, even with stock car.I think that the gold target score on this drift trials are not "SO" hard for the average or beginner drifter.

I need to try this because I sure wasn't getting it with the tuned one. Unpredictable car. Either snap oversteer or plow understeer.

9927 points with the Roadster '07. Close to 10.000, but I don't like this combo. Maybe I will retry this...

And I didn't tune the car, just added some parts to add 100+ HP and remove 10kg, no LSD, Brakes, Transmission (not even a clutch or the carbon bar thing, don't know the name in English), and no suspension.

BOOM! 13,944 pts. for 17'th place is my best drift result so far.:D

Thanks for that, it helped me scrape through (and now I have the MX5 with the double hood stripes!). It's very stiff on entry but once in a drift is easy to control, although I did resort to CH tyres on the rear. Cheers!
