OK, I must of got that from an earlier edition then.

in reply to wee-man its impossible to give the worlds fastest non production car 0-60 time for a few reasons

a site online claims that a camero ZL1 raced a mustang sumthing which did a 0-60 in 1.8

dragsters can be clast as cars which do 0 - 100mph in a second

formula one cars and indy cars pull rediculous acceleration times too, and also the skyline i mentioned earlier pulls 0-60 times of 2.4

lol i noticed that in the guinness world records 2003 they mis printed the mclarens top speed they printed that it did 2401.1mph lmao.

ive also read up on mclarens inside story that its early 4wd longtail prototypes (which they only ever made two of) cut 0-60 in 2.05sex, purely as a test, and they were decided it was pointless. The extra weight apparently hindered acceleration and cornering ability, and it also increased fuel consumption. So it was scrapped. However, it was probably the scariest way to get moving as quickly as possible, considering it had a twin supercharged 7.4 litre Chevy V8, tuned to 1400hpish, then run on methanol :O

I can't stand the McLaren F1's. Sure, they're fast, but to me there's only one 200+ car for me, the XJ220 :D

I saw one at a show, my jaw quite literally dropped.

Sadly (for you) the XJ220 is widely regarded as a dog. It weighs heaps, is huge, has no brakes, and handles like crap (if you could even say it handles). The only thing it has going for it is the kick once the turbos kick in, and that takes a fair while :)

lmao yeah i saw a documentory on the xj220, it over shot the camera cuz of the breaks and the tubos tuk bout 5 seconds to kick in. that other jag they made that was supposed tio be for racing handeld like a led tank too (sorry cant remember the car model) neone?

ye thats the one, ta m8y. was dark blue. looked wicked but gees it was sooo loud inside the car. hell i couldnt put up with the racket while i was driving, now if i was sat in a ft40 then ooh yes plz gimme some of that but jag...naah?

gotta give them some credit though im personally very impressed with their new concept car. The RD6 diesel. 155mph sounds quite nice for a diesel. neway they are claimed figures but so what jag arnt exactly ones known for lying are they? ooh apart from the car they sold elvis presley at the same time frank sinatra bought one...a claimed 150mph which the cars never achieved..haha

are you talking about the e-type, yea it didnt do 150, but when something looks, and sounds so cool then who cares.

They DID get a Jaguar E-type to do 150mph, but there's no way a production one would have managed it.

That said, they didn't add anything to it, they just took nearly every item not necessary for driving the car out of it. :D

It's not certain it's in it... There was a supposed car list for GT4 Prologue which contained it, but it's not been confirmed by... anyone actually. :D

In GT4 though, if they do put it in, I hope they also put in the works livereid RS200. They only put in the road version in GT2:( .

If it's a 1997 FINA GTR (like they say at IGN) it should look something like this:

BUT these pictures are from Namcos R:Racing Evolution!!!

The list appears to be official. Here it is now, from Sony's own Japanese web site for the PlayStation.

On top of Solid Lifter's evidence, someone uploaded some scans of the official GT4 Prologue brochure from the Tokyo Motor Show. Unfortunately his scans are no longer there. However, basically it had the fourth page from the offical GT4 Prologue brochure handed out at the Tokyo Motor Show and it lists the FINA McLaren F1 Longtail race car as being included.
So it's in an official Polyphony Digital document so it is DEFINITELY IN GT4 Prologue at least. And here for those who truly understand how good this car really is (although I'm sure the true devotees have seen it before) here is a video of the 240.1mph (391 kph) run:
Andy Wallace does 391kph (go to the videos page)

In the same way the Mercedes CLK-GTR was DEFINITELY IN GT2?

(and for those curious, the first few Japanese characters - katakana - say "Puroroogu", or "Prologue")

So you decided to go for the MX-3 then. What's she like? I was gonna suggest (a bit too late now) what about a 300ZX if you were planning to upgrade (as you were deciding between a MX-3 or a Supra last time) you car. My old man paid £4000 for a good nick 300ZX 1990 TT manual. Or were you limited to the MX-3 because of other things like insurance?

theres a 300zx for sale near where i live for about 6g i think either that or 4g (cant remember:odd: ) anywho its not so far from you famine! only 160 ish miles:lol: in great yarmouth

What's that, north or south of Britain??
I should really know my British geography better, considering I got a B at GCSE  :odd: .

East coast - 17 miles east of Norwich, just down the Acle Straight.

(Guess who went to university in Norwich... :D)

yo peeps, read alot of reviews of grand turismo four, alotta ppl say theyve played the demo and gone on to explain there opinions ecte ct yardee yardee yaar,

does anybody know where i can get a demo to download of gt4? ne links would be greatly appreciated, thanks,

Westy

I'll just quickly point you at the Terms Of Service and Acceptable Use Policy at GTP and advise you to rethink your post... Grimsby's not all that far from home... :D

To answer your question... There's a GT4 Prius version, available only in Japan, if you test drive a Toyota Prius at a Toyota dealer. There's also a GT4 Prologue, which is much more in-depth, but is only going to be made available in Japan. I suspect, if you have a chipped PS2, you MIGHT be able to get one off eBay, at an extortionate price.

I think you should check out the link and read it ;) (sorry to spoil you fun Famine).
To make it clearer, there are quite a few people who use this board, who don't speak or read English that well. So I'd imagine there's quite a few who don't know abreviations and slang and txt language (whatever). They're not going to know what the hell you're gonna talk about if you use it all the way through your post. It may look cool, but they're going to give up reading your post. Hence why the rules are implace. Sods to sound like an old man, but that's the way it goes.;)

Well, that was partially my reasoning for posting the "rules". The other was to point out that talking about downloading games - unless they are free games - is talking about an illegal activity, also expressly forbidden by the rules.

The FINA Mclaren should be great, as it is one of the most fastest production car in the world, but it is also driven by my favourite manufacturer, BMW, who made the engine. I only wish it had the Gold Plated engine bay? :)
