I'm quite a fan of my Veyron. It handles like a slot car, it screams to 300kph, it is a magnificent and fun car to drive. The Furai is in the same category. Both are by a long long way superior to an F1.

My favourite car ever is F1 but I'm not going to be biased and say that it's the best at everything.
Veyron corners better (at low speeds);
Veyron is faster;
Veyron has better acceleration;
Veyron has more grip;
F1 is faster in medium/high speed corners;
F1 has more downforce;
F1 is much more practical;
F1 is a better car.

Veyron SS doesn't have any weight reduction. :s

Its acceleration rivals the Veyron, 600hp, and only like 1000kg. Its just fast if you can tame its oversteer.

Although Mclaren F1 comes behind some of its counterparts driven with rear wheels - their engine mounted at the rump inside the car such as the RUF CTR, Veyron gains the advantage over Mclaren in horsepower by around 400 or so - but weighs so much that it scarcely stops in decceleration at over 400 kilometers per hour on the straight. :crazy:

At overall aspects of performance the Mclaren F1 prevails other competitors like Enzo and Volkswagen W12.

It's my overall favorite car!
20/45 down-force is on pair with really good race cars. One thing - don't add power to it. It's really enough for that weight and more power needs more down-force.

Here's the big difference though: The F1 was built nearly 20 years ago. The Veyron: 5 (or so). The F1 is 15 years older and can still put up a fight? A Veyron (never mind what they cost in GT5) is 4 times more expensive. Also, will we ever see a Veyron at LeMans? Probably not. The Bugatti may have a few things on the McLaren, but I think the McLaren will stand the test of time. Another fun fact: The F1 will get around 15MPG, the Veyron? About 10-11. Neither of which, I think any of us will ever drive.

What tires are equipped for Veyron and McLaren stock? I think on same tires McLaren will be faster.
Also Nurb has 2 long straights - good opportunity for a Veyron.

And medium-high speed cornering is more signifigant than low speed because the latter shows smaller cornering speed differences than the former...

I'm a McLaren addict....

Except for the fact that the ass steps out if you're on the loud pedal too quick. But that seems to be standard for a lot of cars around that pp/hp range.

Hi, Yes easy on the gas out of the corners. Most cars will benefit with the Traction Control @ 7 and a near max. on the rear downforce (wing). Rear camber 1.0. Front camber 2.0. Rear toe +0.2 to +0.3. Front toe -0.1. ABS 7 will help to tighten the car, preventing the wheels from skidding into a corner, unless you've got a club foot. I usually just "dab" the brakes and listen to the downshifts (using engine braking) instead of slamming them on (Monza, into the chicane excepted, although not totally). Racing soft/medium tires will help too although the rears will tend to get hot and loose grip later in the race but by then you'll be P1 anyway.
