This "discussion" sounds like something out of the GT2 forum.

Except my dad could beat up your dad.

there is a point in running if it meant life in prison. if its your final strike, i would run, simply cuz u want to entertain the chances of getting away. u can outrun the cops, they have different jurisdiction (sp?)
like in that mischief video by the time the cop used his radio to call the other cop he already out ran that cop (this was in a ruf [i dont know which one])

yea it is real obsivise to just see a f1 not like u see one everyday goind like ****;in 210 on the street. ok i am wrong bout the speed but u get wat i mean

Erm no, not really. Would you mind taking a little more care over what you write please?

Does anyone else feel that this thread started off extremely immature and is only getting worse?

Normally, I would support a Mclaren F1 no matter what. But this is just getting ridiculous.

First...The best getaway car would definitely be something you see like 5,000,000 times every day, like a Camry or an Accord (with some suspension and engine work). If it was a car like a Mclaren, that would just make it easier for them to track the car, which would make it that much easier for them to catch you.

If you're running from the cops so you can avoid something minor like a speeding ticket (or for almost any other reason)..you're an asshole and I hope they catch you. You may not realize it, but you're seriously endangering other peoples lives.

I do believe there is a flaw in the "beat the cops in a F1" argument.
The F1 has an onboard computer system that can be interrogated from the factory. It's entirely possible the police could use this system to interrogate 'your' car and determine it's location and speed at any given time.
This has been done as an owner in Germany often boasted of his 200mph commute down the autobahns. Intrigued, they dialled up his car and sure enough he was often hitting 200. I've heard this story from a couple of reputable sources so i believe it.
And I wouldn't be surprised at any any police force attempting to use that technology to their advantage.

Oh... and whats wrong with fantasising about cars you;ll never own. Isnt that what Gran Turismo is all about?

The childishness of boasting is rather sad tho...

Even if you went out of jurisdiction, they can still get you. If you are a big enough criminal by doing that stuff, and go out of the city, the guys in the next city will get you (as one city will call ahead), and you also have to worry about state police. They will block you off. Its not like a McLaren can go offroad anyway, you pretty much have to stay on the pavement. And lets face it, if they set up concrete barriers in front of you, block off all the exit ramps (on a highway), and are following you from behind, all of them armed with guns, you are trapped. Winner Police.

Wanna try and outgun them? If your dangerous enough, they can send some major firepower on you (they get to use guns from any gun store) and if your dangerous enough, the Military might get involved.

McLaren F1 with 2 MP5's and maybe an AK47 VS. Police and Military: M4's, M16's, a slour of handguns and shotguns, snipers etc.
Winner: The Law

If you try to escape over the boarder, they will heavily reinforce the way out. If you do happen to manage, the other country is after you then. There is NO point in running...
