McLaren MP4-31 launch

Any numbers on improvements for this unit over the one at the first test?
Not unless you have Ron Dennis on speed dial. Any horsepower figures we hear are usually just estimates.

Looks like they're back on track, with Button passing the 100-laps barrier again today.
Hope to see some even quicker lap times tomorrow and Friday. According to Boullier they have yet to run the new engine at full capacity. Looking promising as far as reliability goes.

There's also been some speculation on how much power they might have gained with the new fuel from Esso.

The million dollar question is when they do turn the wick up, will everything fall apart? Hopefully not.

So far it's the Ferrari engine that's looking the least reliable. Good news for McLaren if they can keep the car in the points mix.

Firstly, I'm glad Alonso is OK..... I just saw this today, McLaren drivers always have to do the cheesy PR stuff!

Looking at this picture, I can't help thinking that had the car been fitted with a Halo device, Alonso would have been trapped in the car.
