McLaren Paint?

I bought a McLaren MP4-12C and was gifted an F1 and received a paint can from neither. Anyone else encountered this problem?

I noticed this also when I bought both cars from the dealership.

It's normal for some car/paint combos.

Same problem here. I bought the McLaren twice (one carbon black, one historic orange) and despite I had the popup to let me know I get the paint, I can't find those damn chips in my paint database

License issue? Maybe PD doesn't have the ok to use the paint code in game. Other cars like the Toyota FT-86 have the same problem.

ive had that happen to me quite a few times, was expecting paint but the prompt never showed up. and doesnt seem like theres anyway to tell which paints will do that.

Is it anything to do with the fact that if you cannot repaint the car or wheels you do not get a paint chip ?

You can definitely repaint the car. I have. Can't remember if I received the paint ticket tho.
