Hi all, new to this and struggling big time, especially the rally's.
I've noticed that if I turn my GT wheel past the 10 to 10 positions power rapidly falls off. Surely it would still rev like a good-un , oversteer , or assist pulling the front in or sliding out the back depending on wheels driving!!
Another example, I know a childish thing and not required in the game but in my rear wheel drive cars surely I should be able to put full lick on, hit the power and spin the car, it just pulls away intill the wheel straightens and off I go.
Is it the dynamics if the game or steering wheel settings?

Traction control on, not a powerful enough car, suspension setting need changing, there are loads of factors matey.

from what it sounds like though it's traction control, have you turned it off?

Need to check some of your grammar BTW!

Playing now with the setting, could launch the whole thing trying to complete a rally stage anywhere near a bronze.
Thanks for picking me up on my English, quick typing on iPhone isn't the easiest .... will try harder.

His grammar was no worse than yours, for your information. Why did you even mention it?

i dont know why PD have enabled TCS and ASM in rally, in GT4 these were disabled by default.

Should be this way in GT5

Can't believe how much I'm struggling as the game progresses, I've looked on here AND YouTube for how to's. Guess I need to get more time on it!!!!!

Either TCS and/or ASM will reduce your power, sometimes to the point where you're almost standing still, if it detects any hint of oversteer/understeer/wheelspin. This is especially critical when competing in the rally events.

Once you can keep your car pointed straight and retain forward momentum going through corners with minimal driving aids, I actually found all special event rallies quite easy to gold.
