how does your member status change im currently regarded as just a member but I have seen people I have seen people with other status levels what is the starting level and where does it go up to

It's "auto-magical". Jordan set the values and statuses when he created the bulletin board. I will tell you that when you reach 1000 posts, you can assign your own. That is why some people have custom 'titles' - Weee!!!
