Just the race car version is in the game. I would LOVE to see the road version in the game though. The CLK-GTR is definitely one of my favorite cars.
 
That's a great looking car. I've been power-refreshing the UCD for this all evening to no avail. Looks like it's a prize for one of the AMG events, too.
 
A beautiful car... No doubt! But hard to earn 'cause you need to GOLD the AMG-Driving-School on Intermediate. Might take some time... Just missing the last event for the full lap on the Nordschleife. Definitely a hard one! But one of the most thrilling and motivating challenges in the game.

I also have NEVER seen this car appearing in the UCD! Has anyone ever? Has someone bought it there? How much is it? I am really not sure if it's for sale...
 
yeah all gold in amg challenge and rarely appears in ucd for 5,5 + million credits!
 
I earned mine. Yeah, it's a fantastic car. I have the Tamiya 1/24th kit, yet to be built. I have another project I must finish before it.

Wanna know a secret, though? I pay close attention to details of my favorite cars in the game, and I notice that the CLK GTR is not actually the CLK GTR. They modeled the CLK LM, which is the GTR's successor. However, it does have the wheels from the GTR, which I think is pretty peculiar.

I think that is because the car portrayed is the CLK LM that raced in FIA GT. Cant remember exactly though, you may want to check it out. It has the paintjob from Le Mans, but that may be because they are not allowed to show alcohol or tobacco signs in the game.

Your right about that being a tough event to gold, i was in the same boat had all gold bar the full lap but when i found out what the prize car was i just persevered. for a while couldnt get below 7'10 when you need below 7'05 but after a couple of hours playing finally got their with a 7'04.

My tip is go hell for leather in the first half of the lap then just hold on for the second half. Theres a split around the mid point of the lap.......you have to hit that at at least 3'17 to have any chance of getting gold. if your over that then start again, should save you some time.

also had it appear in the UCD, think it was around 4 million, never had the funds at the time anyways.

Great car but a real handful although iv never did any setup work on it and its still on racing hards, just love the way it looks

Unka is somewhat correct. The bodywork of the car portrayed in the game is that of the CLK-LM race car (the bottom half of the front nose is the giveaway). Unfortunately I can't check the stats in game because I am at work, but the main difference between the two cars was that the CLK-LM was a V8, while the GTR was a V12. However a quick search online I see that the V8 in the LM was only 600 hp, while the in game car I believe is rated higher (however the GTR's real life V12 was only between 600 and 630hp). SO I'm not sure what engine the game says it has but if it says V12, then its more peculiar

The both the GTR and LM ran in the 97 and 98 FIA GT championships respectively, but the LM got the V8 to be able to run reliably at LeMans. As for the livery, both years one of the team cars was sponsored primarily by Warsteiner (it was a minor sponsor on the other team cars) so GT just replaced that logo with Mercedes Benz instead to comply with regulations. That said, IMO they should have used the D2 sponsored car instead, at least it would have had a nicer logo on the side.
