If it is still NA, this will be the most amazing engine out there.

I don't think Mercedes needs a "most powerful this specific type of engine" award to brag about, the AMG's 6.2 is by far the best sounding V8 in the world. That along justify the purchase of one of their cars to your wife.

Or no.

When you have the money to buy a SLS, you don't tell your wife, you just buy it.
Honey come see MY new toy.

And that too.

But coming back on the so called Ford most powerful stock V8. That really doesn't work, because it's supercharged. And with blown engines, Ford figures are nothing.

The twin-turbocharged 5.0-litre V8 engine in the Koenigsegg Agera R, which produces 830kW of power and an almighty 1200Nm of torque

I don't understand, why do people see these obvious test cars and think thats how the final production version will look?

Not Ew, thats like saying that the 918 prototype is ugly based on the recycled 991 temporary body panels. Ok, maybe not that extreme but i guarantee the final sls black series wont have mix-matched wheels and body panels that were thrown on.

I know its a v8 I'm wondering why merc wanted to drop the power? The only thing I can think of is that the v12 was to close to the McLaren power for a 100,000 cheaper.

I'm thinking it will look like the SLS GT3 car in terms of bodykit which would be epic!

The old black had a v12 with dual turbo chargers and 730HP with 1000 torque. Why the drop in power?
The only Black Series that had a v12 is the SL, it has 660hp.

The SLS does not come with a V12, they would maybe built a new V12 engine to fit the SLS and it would basically have the same power.

I might end up liking the Black more than the original! I mean I really love the original SLS, but those flared wheel arches make it look a lot tougher and more muscle car like. Hopefully like the original SLS, it will still turn.

I could be thinking of a different merc. Didn't brabus do a sl also? I know one of them have 730HP there's just so many

hmmm... the new front lip actually looks nice. Different wheels on the front and rear tires? Interesting.

They should install a rear diffuser on that thing, because:

1) since this thing is faster than the standard SLS, adding downforce would be reasonable and necessary,

2) I still think the SLS doesn't look good. Heck, if they're going to change the car's front end, might as well do the rear end.

Pfeew, I see it's still a mule. That front bumper shouldn't be allowed on the SLS.

I'd be surprised if the front on the final version looks like that... surely it will have some sort of deep and low front splitter?

Personally, I don't think it looks different enough from the normal SLS... the other Black Series cars all look much more aggressive than the standard AMG version.

The Brabus Sl had 730 hp. They also made a SLS with 700 hp from a twin turbo V8.

Ah thank you for clearing that up for me. So how many tuning companies does merc have? There's black, brabus, and A M G any more?

Black isn't a company it's just a special version made by Mercedes/AMG.

There are a lot though. Brabus, Renntech, Carlsson, Kleeman, Lorinser. Probably even more than that but those are some of the biggest ones.

I'd say they're going to increase the size of the twin vents, located under the headlamps, that hole in the plastic cammo is bigger than the actual vent on the regular SLS.

The wheelarches are cammouflaged too, so I presume they'll be a little bit flared to fit slightly bigger tyres. Also, I'm not expecting a front lip spoiler, since that part of the car is not covered up and looks pretty much the same from before.

Oh I thought.black was a entirely different company. Learn something new everyday right!
