i did a search for CLK-GTR but didn't find much, what do i wromng in the search options?

you can try raising the tsc a few notches itll help the rears last a little longer and lightening up the rear brakes also helps if your rears are going much sooner than the fronts

The main things I did to this car to help with the tire wear are...

1. Put the bound up to 10, the rebound up to 9, in the rears, 6 and 5 in the front.

The next is controling wheel spin.

I did that by setting the auto to 22.

Then basicaly lengthened the first, second and third gears, while shortening the last three. I lost my settings due to another site going offline, but it realy did the trick.

Are you planning on using the CLK-GTR for LeMans 24hrs? So you have tuned it to it´s max and so on and so forth. When the hp increrases so does two other things aswell; fuelusage and tyrewear! To be succesful in the 24hr races, you need two things to outlast the competition; fuel and tyres! So the strategy of adding hp is not very good.
If I´m correct in you running the 24hrs race, then use another car! Best overall fueleconomy/tyrewear belongs to the Mazda 787B, who can run 9 lap stints. So can the Sauber C9, but the 787B outruns the C9 in the long run. This is true for the Sarthe II race. For Sarthe I any of the newer LMP´s will do.

But whatever you do, do NOT add power to the car you are using for these long races!! The speed gained is lost in the pits!
