I just don't get the hate that people put on others.
It starts with being close-minded. It multiplies when the ego gets involved, and fault/blame cannot be accepted.
Kinda like how the Aids vs. No Aids thread turned out. Initially, it was nice and thoughtful debate. It degenerated quickly when people began posting as if their opinion was the end-all-to-be-all. Rather than a philosophical, fact-based debate, it became an enraged labeling party that divided readers, and elevated emotions.
To remain open minded leaves too much room for things like insight, improvement, and experimentation.
The racing slick thread was similar, until someone posted a vid with a F1 car running a nearly identical lap to a GT5 F1 car... on comfort softs.
The people that remain open minded, and flexible in beliefs and understandings, are usually the ones that last the longest. I've never seen Famine ban someone for being proved wrong. Quite the opposite, but then again he's not an ego-driven, closed minded individual.

When you let those closed-minded dogs lie, you allow them the chance to go out and prove you right. Of coarse, they'll likely never admit it, but you'll still have the satisfaction of knowing while they're busy trying to put the pieces of their beliefs back together. Let them fail, so that hopefully they'll learn the lessons you were trying to teach on their own.
You simply can't help those that don't want it, and that's the most frustrating part.
People find it odd that a 46 year old man is a fan of some kid. But you know what? I like how the kid drives and he has talent.
