I'm surprised this hasn't come up yet. A countdown timer has appeared on Kojima Productions' official website under the heading "NEXT" and accompanied by a rather cyptic background of a stormy field. The characters E, 3 and 5 are visible in the background when the lightning flashes, but in typical Kojima fashion there's been no explanation, though when he delivered an address recently, the last image - unortunately, I can't find it anywhere - of the presentaton suggested that work may be underway on METAL GEAR SOLID 5.

Whatever it is, we'll know by this time tomorrow ...
 
Mr. Kojima wants you to think it's MGS. He is a master of illusion and deception. Look at what he did recently with MGS touch. It's most likely a totally new project.

I'm personally still holding out for ZOE3... do it, Kojima!
 
Id be more interested if they would make a trophie patch for MGS 4

I think it s a scandal that the number one top title on the PS3 system dont have them yet, while a lot of minor games that dident sell nearly as many copies as MGS already was patched long ago.

Konami needs to wake up.
 
It'd help if it was named something useful, and by useful I mean something that would come up in a search result.
 
Since we don't know what the game is called yet but we do know that it's being made by Hideo Kojima, I think the existing thread is more than appropriately titled.
 
There is going to be a Phantom Pain reveal today (MGS:5 !), an interview with Joakim Mogren the head of Moby Dick Studios, they even say that he is a real man and not Kojima, will have to wait and see

But wasn't ZOE3 announced a while ago? And by a while, I mean May last year?

You're responding to a post he made 4 years ago which was made prior to the announcement of Rising. We have a much more recent thread for Ground Zeroes too.

I also thought there was a thread dedicated to Phantom Pain. But it looks like it was merged with the Ground Zeroes thread afterwards, since the information and speculation surrounding it can be found in the same thread.
