I am kinda one of those people who believe that metallica went downhill starting with the black album but i dont quite think that. i think its more like they were the kings of metal before the black album and starting with that they are kinda just near the top instead.

After the Black Album, they sucked. Plain and simple.
 
I don't listen, you know that curveball, and Metallica never sucked.
 
I dont think they suck at the black album. Enter sandman is excellent and what about I Disappear, that song rules. The Whole entire album may not be as good as the old albums were when i could just play them through over and over but they have alot of good songs. I dont like how people complain how they suck. All bands are supposed to "mature" in their music and metallica was merely doing this. Although i will say i think St. Anger is definitely the worst album they have by far.

for me i like all thier album from kill em all to reload & s&m
st.anger also nicezz but not so heavy more to rock not metalz ...

My favorite Metallica song has to be "Don't tread on me" Although"Sad but true" is very grood also.
