I'd have done the same widebody treatment they did on the rear fenders to the front ones as well. And then I'd have left the rest of the body the hell alone, and put the rest of the money into a supercharger kit, seamwelding, a decent rollbar, and good coilovers.

Cut-price is the right phrase indeed, you certainly would look cut-price, but not cool.
 
It dose'nt look like an Aston, it looks like more of a sqished version of the new Jaguar XKFEKF something or other.

Wonder what the 50 year old men at the Aston Club wil say when they see that mess...

Actually, you can do it even cheaper. Just buy a four-banger Z3... tada!!!

As for the Miataston itself, I have no comment worth typing... except... I could probably do better with a tub of bondo, a carving knife, a case of beer and a weekend alone in my garage. With or without the Miata as a base.

Heck, I could probably do it on a Ford Festiva.
