Microsoft Excel GT5 Car spreadsheet....

I've done searching here and online, and I can't find any that either unzip normally, or once they do I can't open them, or they are not formatted correctly, (I have every version of M. Office)

Does anyone know where one is that works properly?
 
What version of Excel do you have? I format my files for Excel 95...
 
Yeah, see neither of those work for me, it gives me a big message about how it can't be opened , zip file somethjing or other. It won't let me copy the message or I would just post the exact words.'

I'm using M. office 10 on this computer.
 
I'll hazard a guess you're using Internet Explorer. Try with a different browser.

Alternatively, in the "Update History" section there is a link directly to the uncompressed file on my site, that I added specifically for this reason.

I had big time problems trying to open "Famine's" in Internet Explorer 8 then tried using "Mozilla Firefox" and had no trouble with it opening.
 
We've never got to the bottom of this issue, but it seems to affect all .zip files attached here at GTP. The issue seems to be that something of the zip goes missing in the download.

Generally, trying a different browser and/or a different unpacking software solves it. Actually opening the resulting file is the least of the problems, since mine are always formatted for Excel 95, using OpenOffice.

But the direct link I provided in my thread solves it. I just don't like people using it as anything other than a last resort, because it comes out of my bandwidth :lol:
