^I'll have to check if the version of the game I installed came with this SP already. I had never played this before, got it from my brother-in-law last week and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm using the same CD key he is, will I be able to play it online? Also, do you think the Accelerator expansion is worth it? He wants me to buy it 50/50 with him
.

The CD Key is used to register the game with MS servers. They download your motherboard info, graphics card, basically your configuration. If he's used it already, than you can't play online. I'm surprised you actually got it to verify.

I've got the game, it's wonderful. I won't be getting acceleration until Xmas.

Ok, thanks for the info about online. He got Acceleration but it didn't run on his laptop so he returned it. I didn't know it was more system demanding than FSX already.

Well, according to a developer. They've already started work on Flight Simulator 11 a few weeks ago. It'll be created for native multi core and multi threaded use. Also, it'll feature DX 10 as it's base. :)

Is there anywhere where i can get a free Halo Pelican Add-On because i found one but you have to pay for it and i wanna find out where i can get a free one! i also downloaded a NASA Space shuttle! that thing is super dooper coolio

Does anyone have experience in running FSX in a multi-monitor environment. I'm currently running three monitors with extended desktop from two GPUs. I just got FSX Gold Edition, and every time I go to start a flight it crashes to the desktop, and I get random black boxes across all my screens. However, the problem resolves if I disable my 2nd/3rd monitors in Display Properties.

Though having FSX display across 3 monitors would be ideal, generally I'm happy just to have it working on the central monitor without having to enable/disable monitors every time I want to play. Goggling doesn't seem to get me to the source of my problems. Any ideas?

Haven't posted here for a while so I thought I would flood my post with some pics! (Sorry I really tried to limit myself)

Multiscreen is very popular for FSX users so I am not sure why it is giving you problems, I bet if you searched google you would find a lot of info on it.

Some more pics from some flight testing I did today (click on pics for larger)

But this time some different angles and even a different aircraft to the usual, I was doing some climb and descent testing comparing the -900 vs the -800 so I snapped some shots while I was at it.

Alaska airlines Boeing 737-900WL, -900 is a extended version of the 737 NG series, the Virgin Blue I usually fly is a -800.

Approaching Nice/Cote d' Azur airport (not in sceen), the airport that gets you to Monaco! (default FSX scenery however)

Touchdown!
Probably hard to notice but it is longer than the Virgin Blue I have been posting.

Touchdown -900 by VIPERGTSR01, on Flickr

Welp back to the Virgin Blue -800 but this time more interesting camera views, Monaco is just around that cove on the left.

You can even see the System B hydraulic reservoir in the right gear wheel well, looks like it would get in the way of the gear when it retracts but doesn't as seen in the next pic

Flaps and slats fully deployed (flaps 40) a nice look at everything

Edging towards the airport, please mind the jaggy self shadowing, GT5 isn't the only software with jaggy shadows :p

Where's that airport gone again?

Wheres the airport? by VIPERGTSR01, on Flickr

Ahh there it is, this is a VOR-B assisted approach to rwy 22L, it's last section requires full hand flown procedure turn to maintain clearance from the hills around the small cove, this was all hand flown with no assistance.

aaaannndd touchdown :)

Touch down by VIPERGTSR01, on Flickr

Take note of that last pic, if you look on the right side underbody near towards the rear (below the right rear door) you can see that large flap wide open, that is the outflow valve that has automatically opened to ensure no pressure is being retained in the cabin so we can open the doors.

Very nice pictures indeed, those freeware airports look excellent.

Thanks :)

I enjoy taking them while I fly around so I might as well post them up (even if there is too many :ouch:
