Microsoft points price breakdown

I dont always try for all 1000. For some games thats simply impossible. I agree the majority of the games are difficult and take a while to unlock the achievements. I have 77 hours into Test drive unlimited and I am at 890/1000. The only other achievements I want for this game are the 5,000 miles and the "unlock all roads" I am very close to having all the roads.
Also like you said it all depends on how much you can play. Lately I have been able to play at least 3 hours every single work day and more on the weekend. During the summer thats impossible for me. Also lucky for me I have a girlfriend thats as addicted to the 360 as I am. :sly:
Here is my gamercard if you want to check it out. http://gamercard.xbox.com/CAMAROBOY69.card
You can click my name and view all my played games and gamerpoints. :)
Oh and you cant easily get 1000GP in Call of Duty 2. That game is very hard on verteran. King kong took about 6-8 hours.

Everyone plays the games anyway, I like most people try to get 1000 points, I try not to play my 360 all day, I am selective of the games I buy/play as well.

Camaroboy69, you have a lot of played games, I wonder how you play so much(not as any offence) I can't play that much, my wrists won't hold up to it.

No offense taken. :)
When I first got the 360 about 2 months ago I took several days off and rented many games. Thats why I got over 10,000 GP in a month. I can rent games for $1.25 each at Family Video if I get the half off for a month. I also play about 2-3 hours every night during the week if I get the chance. During the summer I never have any time to play hardly because of 50+ hours at work, cars, side jobs, and just enjoying summer.....Now that its getting closer to fall I get more free time. I also have a girlfriend thats as addicted to video games as I am. She also has a 360.

The challenging ones like PGR3, Saints Row, Battlefield 2, etc are very, very hard to get 1000 gamer points. I've had a 360 since release date and only have a tad over 6000 gamerpoints. It all depends on how good of a gamer you are, how much time you have or what type of game you like to buy. The only ones I know of that you can get 1000 easily are Call of Duty 2 and King Kong, and I doubt any like that takes an hour to complete unless you state otherwise...

But yeah, it does seem like a good idea.

It's easy to get 1000 points in Call of Duty 2? Riiight.

To add to that list, pretty much any '06 sports game (Madden 06, NBA Live 06) gives out the points. I mean, 20 points for a first down?

Er... 200hrs was an exaggeration. plus he said 10 for every 1000. That (400points for galaga) takes a lot of games played, just because you do marathons with gamerpoints as your goal doesnt mean everyone else does. I have just 500 some points after 1 month. Everyone is not the same is the point.

edit: You guys are right by the way. something is better than nothing and its hypothical.

I was struggling to find another game that's easy to get 1000. :P

People made it out to be a little harder than it is (to me), so I completed it within 10 hours if I put my head down to it.

That brings up another idea - how about increasing your MS Point winnings depending on the difficulty of the games? I think that would increase your determination to complete the game. Though, it could increase cheating...

If you beat the game on veteran in 10 hours then I say your the man and you are probably the only person I have ever heard say they beat this game in 10 hours on veteran. If you can beat this that fast then I would say most of the 360 games out there will be a breeze for you.

10 HOURS?!?

Holy Hell. No wonder you're so good at Burnout.

I did three levels to get an achievement from it and it took me at least an hour.

May have been 15+ hours, then, as I'm not THAT good (it could have been the time I done the whole game in Normal Mode.)... There's no way to check now because I've sold the game. All I know is that some of the levels were easier to me than what some people told me they were, so I progressed through them pretty quickly. I had completed the game on Normal Mode before hand, so I suppose I had an advantage at the start.

Anyway, back onto topic now...
