If I remember right, that was a 56 second run around Midfield? Ahhh... Just checked my replays, yep 56.417 around midfield in a fullly loaded 787B. I'll have to revisit that, as it's from 11/23/2002 (sheesh... 14 months ago).

[edit]What's really nice to know, is that in the last 45 minutes, I easily matched that run. My time now sits at 55.578. A marked improvement since my last attempt at this.[/edit]

well i have a new best time in the Z06 - 1:16.1* , i think i can get into the 1:15's with a little tinkering.

I guess I should end this thing sometime too, so the last times must be in by Sunday at 8:00 p.m. PST.
 
Well DER ALTA im getting closer to you, i broke down and tried the vette GS and was able to pull a T1 - 22.8 and a T2 - 45.8, however i must have blew something later in the track cause i tied my Z06 with a 1:16.1*.

Oh well i will keep trying.
 
FreewayDrifter, review your replay and check for smoke off the tires. Break earlier than you think you need to for the big 180 into the first tunnel (the S-cruves) and go easy on the throttle as you enter the next 180. This one is tougher, as it's a decreasing radius turn. I usually brake into it, then ease the throttle back on to hit full throttle as I see the turn open up. Just a dab of brakes for the chicane, then kick the backend out under braking for the hairpin. Getting the back end out allows you to get back on the gas, at the very beginning of the corner. A few MPH more coming out of this corner can equate to a few more tenths at the finish line.

Pulled a few laps in a 22b STi... nothing worth recording.

Just threw around a GTR33 and managed a 1'15.904. Let's see what the Corvette can do.

After a few laps in the Corvette GS, I managed to pull a 1'14.320. I'll probably run this a few more times...

By the way, good spot race. 👍

lol...remember to follow the rules about the pwr/wht ratio and only the mods i have selected.
 
I really like the pwr/wht ratio challenges because it really opens up the competition to more cars to choose from. Maybe someone can come up with another one tomorrow.

Thought I'd try something different; Audi S4, weight/power of 3.272.
Turned out to be uncompetitive with the times that you guys have been pulling :(
After about 8 laps I ended up with the following:
T1 = 23.386; T2 = 46.486. Overall = 1:17.065.

OK, Here's my time. Wasn't sure if I should PM it in or paste it up here.

1'14.390 (replay saved and available if needed (NTSC)).

Corvette Gran Sport w/ Sports Muffler, Port Polish, Engine Balancing, and Stage 3 lightweight. Plus the regulation stated modifications. Puts me at 1271kg, and 389 hp, for a 3.267 p/w ratio.

Don't that suck that I missed Goomba by 0.070 seconds.

i didnt get everyones car...i think i am missing der alta unless he used the Vette GS.
