What settings did you use to make it "realistic racing"? Tyres, Settings etc.
I use the same tyres the AI uses. Golf RM for example was on comfort softs, the others on racing hards. All aids are off (ABS 1).
To create a realistic feeling, you have to drive on the edge but also drive as clean as possible. If you cut corners or jump over curbs, bump into the other cars, overtake on spots it would be too risky in real life, then there is no "realistic" effekt. (obvious a detailed cockpit view is required too)
The ai in GT5 normally is far to weak. Because of that i take slower cars and tune them a bit or detune similar cars. You should be able to stay full throttle on the other cars, but have to less power to overtake. The hardest part in these races is to stay close at the ai and react fast enough to avoid bumping them. (sudden ai braking ruined many tries for me)
The corvette race for example: With 480 HP, it was hard to stay with the Ford GTs and the LM cars, so i tried with 500 HP. Well, those 20 HP took the whole challenge away....became to easy again.
The car specs are in the video discriptions:
Golf RM - 130 HP - comfort soft tyres - one make race
Xanavi GTR - 375 HP - racing hards - one make race
Corvette Z06 RM - 480 HP - racing hards - dream car championship
Weds Sport IS350 - 480 HP - racing hards - dream car championship
