Yeah I use R2 and L2 at the moment but still find it hard keeping the car stable.

Maybe I've got the wrong settings on LSD?. I've got:

Inital - 16
Accel - 26
Brake - 8

Those were from a tune on here. I don't know much about tuning cars so any advice on those settings would be appreciated..

Well I'm noone to ask about LSD settingsbut that accel seems a bit high try turning it down to about 13 and the brakes to about 21.

It will be hard for Montal to do his regular 1 stop strategy with 33 laps in Grand Valley ..... I think

Just how does mont manage a 1 stop?!
Hopefully I'll do well in Grand Valley. I like the track, but I know this one will tear my tires away.

Hey guys I haven't touch gT since the race does anyone know how long is one lap in GVS? Is it 3.20 miles or more?

Not sure of the miles because I play in kilometers but its a little shorter than the last track, lap times last year were between a 1 44 and 1 45 with a best lap time of 1 43 9 by gprilli

I'm sure I can do another 1 stopper again. GVS is not as demanding as Suzuka.

Not what I wanted to hear but I'm sure it won't be easy for you.

Your front tire wear is amazing , your camber must be below 1.0 and toe angle non existent

And then again your rear tires are pretty good as well , must be your driving style .

I see you holding 3rd gears when I drop to 2nd but I also see GarageFather do the same and his tire wear is worse than mine .

Its a bit perplexing , maybe being in the lead means you don't push as hard as us behind you , I'm stumped

I think he's probably just better than us!! The top drivers can put in super fast lap times and still keep tyres, like garagefather did last season... Season 3 pre-season races should show us who are the best drivers ;)

I'm gonna run next season like BTCC where we have a race weekend (we will still run it over an hour and a half on the friday night). Pit stops will not be required as we will run qualifying then a fastest first race of about 10 laps (Suzuka example), then a second race of 10 laps again fastest 1st, then a final race of 10 laps with reverse grid. I think this will make it a bit more exciting, there will be 3 chances to get fastest lap bonus points and the bottom drivers will have a chance to lead the race, whilst the fastest drivers must make their way through the grid to score as many points as possible...sound good to you guys?

I prefer more endurance like races but this sounds fun too.
Slzk I can't reply your messages my phone is balls. But 8pm practice today sounds good.
And on the unrelated note I JUST SAW A LEXUS LFA AT MY HOUSE PARKING LOT!
The owner let me pop the hood, look inside(Awesome craftsmanship there),rev it up and then went full throttle!

I like that idea a lot Soopa. Will tyre wear still be on anyway?

Also, will cars be chosen for next season the same as they were this season? Like top 8 getting last 8 cars etc.

Yeh Soopa but GarageFather is struggling against Montal now so there is more to it than just drivng skill.

Montal must be a master tuner , either that or we are using way too much camber

I prefer these endurance type races, I guess we can have a vote and decide.

I say keep this current format but then add a reverse grid sprint race which we do right after the endurance race .

It would also encourage ppl not to quit from the endurance race , i hope.

If anyone is practicing today let me know plz

I don't think I'm master tuner, I'm going off of a base tune that use for most of my FR car with a 50/50 weight distribution.

My camber is 1.8 front and 1.2 rear for Nurb GP/F.

My toe was -0.02 front and 0.05 for rear as well.

Suzuka was 1.8 front and 1.1 rear.

Toe was 0 front and 0.05 rear.

The way I learned how to save my tires is from the beat down I got racing from NepalII in the last series race I was in.
He told me his basic strategy on how to preserve the tires.

The key is listen to your tires. If you hear screaming you ether:

1: coming into the corner too fast.

2: turning the wheel too much.

3: your tires are not getting enough grip because of camber/toe settings.

4: too much throttle on corner exit.

Also I have been using the new tire load indicator when I'm practice this new feature helps out so much to find problem areas on the track, I can be careful with my tires in those sections.

Right. I remember nepal had great wear.

What times are you guys getting? I'm in the high 1:44's range.

High 1 43's for me , race pace should be 44 45's

Well thanks for sharing the knowledge Montal , hope to give you a better race this Friday

I would say Allascato is 2nd to you with good tire wear in the last race

Gonna open a practice lounge in the next hour

Anybody practicing tonight??? Gonna go on about half eight .

Cool, c u later, gna use mi wheel as well

I won't be practising this week, its my last week to get the game completed before BF3 comes out, after which I will have very little time for GT5 and it would probably never get finished. So I'm racing 24 hours of Nurburgring for my Platinum trophy this week, wish me luck :)

you should know grand valley quite well anyway

Lounge open

Took me a while to get into the 53's tonight , ran a best of 53 5 .

Having tire wear issues , 2 stop strategy to play it safe

Run about 5 laps and tweeked my toe settings a bit, on is a low 1 46. Not fast, but hopefully it'll improve by Friday

Just took the Calsonic GT-R out for a spin on an online race yesterday and I can say it feels really really good.
My NSX is a little tail happy now. Have to correct the suspension a little. I'm gunning for a 1 stopper I think. Hopefully it doesn't turn out that bad again. Race pace for me is high 1:44's to 1:45's.

Compared to the nsx I drove last season the calsonic does drive like a dream but there was a lot of difference to how I tuned the settings , mainly downforce .

The gtrs and lexus' seem to have the best balance

You can improve Neal , lots of time there for you to find .. You should be a second faster if you keep practicing .

A 1 stop strategy does make all the sense in the world but if you can't take care of tires its a bad move

On fresh tires Gprili is a like the chase down master!

Thanks Montalvo, I'll do my best :)

Now about Grand Valley I'm going to change completely my setup and rebuild it from scratch because I have a lot of tire wear in my front tires that is no good :ouch: for now my best is 1.44.001 but I have to improve :nervous:

Are you doing a 1 stop or 2 stop gprilli ?

that's what I want to try, I want to find a good setup to do one stop, but for now I'm on 2 pits
