Mileage/HP Question

Has anyone put so much mielage on any of theirs cars that the HP drops below it's stock hp?

Yeah i know the feeling......i've put much over 1188 miles on my escudo and it's still at 1843 HP! i just hope it goes no lower!

Yeah, I think my Tommy Kaira ZZII started to sink a while ago... doesn't really matter though. Unless you're into OLR (Online Racing), and you're competing for those precious thousandths of a second, it makes almost no difference.

I don't know... quite a lot. I used it to knock out most of Amateur and Pro league, so it's got well over a thousand miles on the clock, but I'm not sure exactly how much.

In fact, after a long bout of research, here's what I turned up:

Fresh oil raises power by about 5% for about 200km, then it starts to wear out, finally ceasing to be of benefit at 300km when the oil light comes on.

• In a new car from the dealer, power rises with distance traveled until it plateaus at about 300km, having risen about 3%.
• At about 800km, power in a dealer car starts to drop until about 900km when it plateaus again, having fallen about 2%.
• Prize cars are already at maximum power and do not strengthen with use. However, power drops earlier, falling approximately 2% from 500km to 600km.

Once power falls no further permanent changes occur.

• Failing to change oil does not permanently affect performance
• Neither tuning nor revving past redline affect break-in or wear

Summary: you get 500km worth of peak performance from any car, but dealer cars must be broken in for 300km first. Replace oil every 200km for peak performance. Oil, tuning, and rev range do not impact wear.

my old game's Diablo had 3000+ miles on it, and my GT-ONE Road Car had over 2200, and neither of them ever dropped any bhp, aside from the initial 187.4 miles.

Hey, Thanks a lot, i was just worried that if i used my F90 car too much it would totally loose a whole bunch of power but i guess now i know this is not the case!!!

I lost HP below the stocked amount in my old game..well,before ALL of my data on my memory card got deleted a long time ago .but anyways,I was racing through the WHOLE beginner League championship with my AE86 Trueno (well...what races I could do with it anyways ) and I was tryin' to save up enough money to buy either some parts for my Trueno,since I didn't have any money to upgrade the HP,I went with Suspension first and went broke..or....I was gonna gonna save up to buy a 56,000 CR Nissan Skyline V-Spec II (R32) ^_^.dude,by the time I FINALLY reached 56,000 CR,I had lost 4 HP from the stocked HP out of my Trueno.it freaked me out at first,cause I kept changing the oil with the left over money that I had,after buying my Skyline,and it just wouldn't go back to the regular stocked HP,so I just bought it a new muffler and a stage 1 Turbo,hehe .and that's my story about,"Losing HP with a factory Trueno".

as far as I know of,F1s usually lose HP more easily than other cars do they not?my friend took his F1 into the F1 Championship and after the 3rd race,he had lost 20 somethin' HP ^_^.but I guess that's cause they go so fast,they burn that HP down pretty quick,hehe..guess it's just a one time deal,huh?hahaha,well..anyways,other cars don't really do that when you enter them into a championship.such as my 787B for example...that's the closest car to an F1 that ever drive (sorry,no offense,but I don't like F1s..too much grip ^_^) and when I enter that car into championships,I can go at LEAST to the last race in the championship,THEN lose HP,but until then..I'm perfectly fine,hehe =D.and by the way,my 787B has over 3,500 miles on it,so I've gotta bigger risk of losin' HP sooner than a new F1,even if they do go REEEALLY fast.oh well,that's all,sorry for posting so much =P,can't really help it though..hehe

just try to let the oil stock for about 1000km, works for me... lost about 100hp

Thats funny cause none of my cars in GT3 have more mileage than 390m!

Prize cars can still rise in power. EX. F1 when you get oil change. But I heard that they dont decrease in HP. Used to have a F090/s with over 1000 miles on it and hadnt lost one horse. Maybe it was just me or I misread my HP or something.

BTW, I hadnt heard of a car going below it's stock HP after oil change and stuff. Somebody at the Numbers said it was impossible.

What I've found is at about 360-400 miles most of my cars start to lose hp, then level off at about 30-40 hp lower so start to look for it on older cars.
