This race idea was originally started in the thread linked below, unfortunately the guy who started it decided not to host after the first race he hosted didn't happen due to lack of attendance so said I could host it.

It's a good idea he had for a race/ race series so I don't want to let it die, and I will be there at that time regardless of numbers but if the numbers are small I might alter the race ( reduce number of laps or change to a different track) .

*I'll be hosting this race at 17:00 GMT on the 17th of this month- that's next Sunday.


*Cars allowed are:

- Ferrari 330 P4 '67
- Ford Mark IV '67
- Jaguar XJ13 '66 (No "Chromeline" version)
- Chaparral 2D '67
- Ford GT40 '69
- Miura
- Alfa ZAGATO '65

In fairness for those who don't have the cars and want to race I'll allow lesser powered cars of the same era only after approval.
Note that if you're level 28 you can win the Jag ZJ13. I will set an X1 to share in case it's of use for achieving this.


*Tyres are racing hard only.


*I discourage the use of driving aids. ABS 1 is fine but no SRF.


*Damage set to full.


*Circuit De La Sarthe 2009. 24 laps (should make the race around 1.5- 2hrs long ) .
If there's not enough attendance however I might change the track to a quicker one or reduce the laps on this one to make the race shorter.


*The winner will be sent a car I have two of- I'll check first what they prefer ( probably nothing amazing but it's nice to receive something ) .

Just to add I'm not limiting PP on this, but for any car not on the list someone wants to use let me know the power/ PP if and when requesting the use of it in the race..
 
If Im in a room with 12 guys from the US and 2-3 from Canada or Mexico or most other countries...the non-US seem to have lag issues. I wouldnt want that to be the case if I was in a room with 10 EU people. Hopefully, Im making sense
 
Could we use the Alfa Romeo GIULIA TZ2 da ZAGATO '65 Race car? The stock PP before oil change is 494. Which race can you win the jag from? I'm a-spec 34 and b-spec 36, but perhaps you win the jag from an endurance? (I've only a-spec'd the roadster and grand valley ones as I dont have time to sit in front of the game for 5 hours at a time)

According to mygranturismo.net it's the Indianapolis 500 miles, Jaguar XJ13 Race Car '66 a-spec prize and Ford GT40 Race Car '69 b-spec

If time's a problem you could get the Ford via b-spec? It's 200 laps so 2.5 odd hours in X1 on a-spec? Boring race though in that tbh but the Jag is awesome hehe :D

Ford is standard, Jag premium if you didn't know mate.
 
Gosh darn it!

I'm working till 6, and then I'm hosting at 8. If it were next week on holiday sunday I'd be there for sure 👍

I could probably drag a friend or two along from my concours club as well.
 
I'll probably want to run the race again or maybe as a series, see how first one goes though. Add me if you like mate.
 
I may have to back out. (I'll tomorrow morning) Some members of my other race are looking to for a host for practice sessions and I'm apt to help them out.

That cars quite fun actually! Not driven it before and just been having fun driving it and tuning a little, I'm considering trying it for 4 hour Nurburgring race lol 549PP @ 238BHP!

If you can attend just post in here before the race wyvern.

Any more interest ppl???
 
Might change to 12 laps of Cote D'Azur now with small field- come on it's only 20-30 min race on this track.. or 24 laps?
