Minimizing Screw ups

When you're doing a turn and you're getting too close to the barrier. Downshift a gear and that will prevent you from slamming into the wall and stop spinouts. Once you downshift a gear there will be more traction more traction= more control. Once the RPMs go full just shift back into high gear. Note: you must have manual setting for this to work.

In some casses there are turns that look like you have to slow down a lot. Which in some casses are the very sharp turns like in Special Stage R5. Now. instead of slowing down so much that your grandma can out race you. You must pretend it is a rally turn. When entering the turn hit the E-brake and turn a full 90 degress and downshift a full two gears that should give you more speed to recover faster and give smaller lap times.

Althoough there are many experienced GT gamers I just thought this might be useful. :)

Yes, it is.  I have used the E-brake several times before, but I never can seem to get the hang of it.

since the e-brake makes the car slide . You should downshift a few gears depending on how slow you know your rpm will get. When you're just getting out of the turn use a little of the normal break and antiswerve. anti swerving is when you stop your car from doing a spin (or doughnut) to do one. after you make a turn and when you feel that the car is swerving too much to the left or right it will about to do a spin. you must turn the opposite direction and sometimes add braking depending on how hard the swerve is pushing the car into a spin. Beleive me .. sometimes I forgot to do that and the mistake was costly. so when you sometimes over turn and about to swerve ,anti swerve.

These explanations get harder and harder.

Cool!  You race go-carts?

I've been to a go-cart racing facility that had miniature F1 cars and a pretty good size little race track.  Very cool!

Yes I've seen one of those before! they give real equipment like helmets gloves and suits. Too bad I couldnt get to actually go there. I only saw that on tv.

I don't know, I usually go automatic, anyway.

Yeah, true, but if you wait just one second to long it will slow you down again.  :(

What I meant is that when I upshift it seems to help stop the sliding of the car.

I don't use the e-brake generally.

Sometimes, I'll tap the e-brake to pop it out of gear, and coast around a corner.  It might just seem this way to me, but I think you can take corners at higher speeds.  :conf:

  I can't wait to see how bad I can't beat myself in the Escudo with one of the new F1 cars in GT3.

They'll do a great job on Complex String, I think.

Yes, F1 cars handle very well. with their fast acceleration, quick brake reaction, and beautiful handling on turns. Except for some F1 drivers who forget to at least downshift a gear to avoid the wall. But I guess they want victory badly. But victory comes with a price ,the price of your lif...... errrr....... really good prize money.

That's a very good thing.  I have so much trouble just driving GT2 without automatic shifting...  :)

Well, now that I think of it, they do have those little shifting paddles on the back of the steering wheel in F1.

:conf: :conf: :conf:

They now have the option of the semi-auto box with the paddles or auto boxes. They can make the choice from in the cockpit. It was part of the rule changes that saw launch and traction control introduced at Barcelona a couple of months back. The reason you saw Castroneves changing gears manually was because he wasn't driving a F1 car.
