Any interest in a mulitclass series using minivans? Divisions below

Division FFS: Renault Avantime
Division AFM: Honda Odyssey
Division KFM: Honda Life Step Vans

Comfort Soft tires and below are allowed, tuning is up to you for the Odyssey and not allowed for the Avantime

good, but the cars are hard to find, couldnt get them in the showroom :(

I am interested in this :)

I might be intrested

I want to get some definates before I start this up, I was thinking having 7 cars per division with me as a safety car and a race steward watching the race to call cautions. It would probably be double file restarts where you start accelerating after the pit wall. I will write up a detailed procedure if we get more signups

ya sure lets do it

Now I might do it where you line up double file but don't get in with your division. These are probably going to be fully modded with sports soft allowed for qualifying and sports hard for racing

so like full course cautions and stuff right

Yes, two laps and this is what will happen

Caution is declared by the steward, I will pull out of pit road as the pace car and the leader must announce over chat what color and car they are, I will then get in front of them and everybody will get behind in a double file formation at a maximum of 50 MPH, you will loop around until you are in a file, then you will have the first lap to pit while the non pitting cars pass by at the set 50 MPH. After you pit, you are allowed to go full force to catch up, but if you spin out there will be no caution. As soon as you are within 10 car lengths of the back of the pack you must slow down to 100 until you are in the pack. As soon as you pass the pit wall you are allowed to accelerate.

ok can i make a suggestion for this series

maybe use mustangs chargers & camaros in one division and use one division with the minivans that way the two divisions are two different speeds and stuff

👎 This is for Minivans, and as far as I can tell Ford, Dodge & Chevy have never made a Mustang, Charger or Camaro van.

ik that it was just a suggestion

OK, I actually was inspired by the Top Gear People Carrier Racing episode.

Ok what will be the difference between the two divisions

Has not been determined, I will run a couple of test runs to see whether I go with tuning or no tuning

Ok but if there are 2 different divisions there has to be a speed difference of some sort

One is a lighter FF and the other is a heavy 4WD, that in itself makes some difference. I will test some different tuning levels and see which one works the best

Ok

I really did think that this would get more interest

Ya this might be a good series if it had a slow division and a fast division

I am working out the details for specs, but the Avantime probably will be the fast division (if I go that route)

Go with a minivan class and a truck class

For the last time, these are the only two vehicles that will be used in this series (should it take off)

Renault Avantime
Honda Odyssey

I got a spec'ed up Avantine its 350bhp and around ~1450kgs iirc 👍. It makes for quite a tyre shreader .

Do you have an Odyssey to beef up as well, it would be very helpful
