In B-spec, for some reason, my Minlota Toyota accelerates slowly, so all other cars overtake me. :| Then in 3rd gear around 60mph, it will accelerate faster. Is it my B-spec Bob?

This is because the B-Spec driver at any level up to around 30 or 40 is a noob who thinks he's pro so drives with all the assists off, meaning he has to manually control the wheel spin that other A.S. drivers are much better at doing.

Sorry, I hate my B-Spec driver, he's level 21 and still gets lost on tracks and stuff

Ahaa, 'thinks he's pro'. The same goes with mine. he is so bad at overtaking. must just be B-Spec then. Thanks :)

If you take a ride with Bob in driver view, you'll get sick. I can't believe how this guy drives...like he can't make up his mind as to which gear to use; and accelerates at the wrong spot coming out of corners. Disgusting. Yet he manages to win sometimes...

Could just be your Bob... but, if you interpret it as him sandbagging the start to make the race more interesting for himself, because you gave him too powerful a car to compete against lowly Civics, then it makes his sluggish starts that much easier to stomach.

Most likely tires. Always make sure you have the best tires allowed in the event and that they are equiped. If the race allows Hard Race and you have soft Race and Hard sport then Bob will be running on Hard Sport and will get smoked off the line but once he gets some speed will wiz past everyone. He will also smoke the tires in the corners and may spin out from time to time.

if not tires then the next best bet is that the car has the gear set to high.

If you have a very overpowered car he will give it next to no gas on start to try not to spin. Even if my Bob is at max anger he still doesnt burn out though, almost as if traction control is on. He is level 12.

I have the same problem with my Bob at level 20. Can't win the Grand turismo allstars even with a Minolta 88cv upgraded to 958 hp with racing med tyres.

Found a solution though. Created another Bob. Around 75% Angry Bob. That solved the slow start.

However, since he is relatively new, I have to assist for 5-6 laps. Otherwise he will be overtaken at the end. That is until he levels up.
