The shifter is ALL plastic, the hex bolts are fake. take out the 10mm on the bottom, and it comes right out.nitroice0069I tried to take the shiftknob of but the hex's are an odd size. TenAre there any issues with wiring when removing the shifter mount? I'm looking into getting a DFP, but I'm afraid I'll destroy it if I'm not careful. I really really do want to swap the shifter position, but if it means possible rewiring, I guess it's a bust. I used to solder mods (at no monetary, gain, before you jump on me) for import-playback, but I don't know jack about the inside of a DFP.
