What's the reason for this? I've never seen large mirrors on racetracks for particularly vain drivers.

An example:

They're probably too lazy to work out how the graphics should go on one side of the car so they just reverse what they did on the other side.

Symmetry.

That's about it.

If the rest of the motorsports world can manage to get both sides of the car looking ok and reading correctly - why can't the Drifting/Tuner fraternity manage it?

U men teh ppl who rite lyk dis?

It’s funny, I actually go to the effort to read the stickers when they’re backwards, just to see what they say. Maybe it’s a crazy ploy to get us to concentrate on the sponsors!

At my previous job, I made all manor of decals ranging from windshield banners, company logos, boat licenses, helmets, etc. I once had a customer that complained when his boat license wasn't backwards. I found it a bit upsetting that I was explaining that you read left to right to a 40 year old man. Setting up lettering like this: ///// isn't any more difficult than like this \\\\.

I've always thought the US flag looked funny when backwards on the side of an airplane and wondered why they don't turn it around. As for the mirror writing, it seems that they have very unadvanced brains and thus use it as an encryption and can't come up with a petter "code."

It probably has something to do with the decal being a trademarked image. Ever wonder why the Pittsburgh Steelers only have the decal on one side? Because US Steel won't let them reverse their logo.

In the picture, top secret probably wouldn't go for having their logo italicized in the wrong direction.

WTF Omnis? The letters are italicised forwards, no matter if it reads backwards or not. The letters still lean toward the end of the word.

Anyway, I was thinking.....

Maybe there was a mirror behind the car, say, next to the camera man? So when you look over the car from the isle you can read all the decals and go spend money, all while not having to exert the energy necessary to trek to the other side of the car. Eh?

The flag backwards on the side of a plane simulates a ship's ensign, viewed from the starboard side. If it was hanging from a pole, that's the direction it would fly in the wind as the aircraft travels. I've seen uniformed services doing that on the right sleeve as well.

Yeah that does make sense. The flag just looks odd when viewed from that angle.
