Missing car pictures in garage

i have just installed the new academy edition of gt5, all my cars are still there but some of them are missing the little picture of the car when i go to the garage to pick one (why is this and can i get them back )

On any of the missing cars, hit Triangle and pick "Create Thumbnail". Don't bother with the "for all cars" option because... it doesn't work very well and just hangs your system.

I'll hazard a guess that why it's done it is to do with the change in game data from GT5 to GT5AE, but it shouldn't pose any long term issue.
