Missing Tack Map in HUD

Is anybody else having issues where the track map does not show up in your HUD? When I first got the game it was showing up, and now today it's mysteriously gone. I checked the map display mode settings and tried all of the options and still nada. Any solutions?

Yup, same with me. Started playing one day it and just wasn't there. Finding it very hard to play created courses and rally stages without it.

Yeah it's really been a pain in the butt with some of the tracks that I'm not familiar with. I hope this gets patched real soon....

So the map came back today when I started playing, and now suddenly it's gone again. Are there seriously only a small few of us experiencing this bug? That's not good in the case of getting a patch for it.

But that's the problem. We all have our Track maps set to "on" but despite the settings, it disappears. I don't know why, either. But, I found that if you exit the game and re-enter it, the map returns.

Edit: Anyway Dessi, if you pause the game mid-race, there is an icon with like 4 rectangles or something. When you go in there, you will find a setting to adjust the track map on your HUD. One shows full map, another is a closeup that follows your car along the map, and the other shows the map in your car. Sadly these settings make no difference since it seems to actually be a bug.

I don't think its a bug, its only on certain races mainly the special events. If you do the top gear events the map will not show no matter what settings are made. I guess it is to make the game more challenging and to rely on experience, following the car in front of you.

The map was suddenly gone when I played 2 player split-screen, and hasn't returned, even in A-spec.

Maybe it disappeared when doing a special event before the 2-player game...

I did a 2 player race for the first time and after it the map was gone in single player. When I turned on the game the next day it was back though and hasn't disappeared since.

Hehe, I'll try again tomorrow then. Nice bug if you have to restart the whole game to get the map back.

same thing happened to me. Right after a 2-player race I go back to single player and the map is gone
