Indeed. I very much feel for what happened in Japan and the Japanese people.

However, PD is a global business, all businesses in Japan are trying to keep going and deliver goods & services to their clientele, in Japan and worldwide.

I hope to see new events posted today. If not, I remain disappointed PD couldn't even be bothered to post something in the news section since the earthquake. PD and the GT franchise can not be run like a family corner bakery.

Yet alot of Tokyo is still without power, explains a few things. Are any of you currently in japan? Have you been to the offices? Have you spoken to any staff? Exactly. Youre sat there behind your desk complaining that youve got no races to do. Its ridiculous how some people are.


Edit: Also, it is only Polyphony Digital that have worked on the game. They know the ins and outs of the code so its not a matter of giving it to another studio todo either.

As we already know, the japanese servers have been relocated to the usa and as far as im aware, still are. I do remember seeing in an old development video that the servers were hosted in house. The seasonal events are online, no power no seasonal events! Sounds like a reasonable explanation to me.

The argument that it is not yet time to return to work is complete crap. Japan is going to be in worse shape if their national economy plummets any further than it already has. People may not want to work but they need to work, and the Japanese people need them to get back to work to prop their economy up before they self implode.

I don't expect new Seasonal Events, but would like to see the dates extended again. I understand Japan's plight, and by all means, take all the time you need. However, don't let the events we currently have expire. If I gotta grind, these events aren't so bad for that.
