Ok let me say that i have read the mission hall thread, and i consider myself an average driver in the game.

I have spent more than 10 hours attempting mission 11 and have never gotten under a 3 second differential. I have beaten the skyline slipstream easily FYI.

Im entering the first turn smooth about 52mph and im staying wide, apexing just at the right time, and if im on my game when i hook left and pass the corner exiting the first turn ill be doing 60mph. I hope you all got that.

Then i swoop in fo the second series of turns ( the right and then the zig zag with the flashing lights ) and i take that pretty good too.

I try so hard to brake early, apex at full throttle to maximize my MPH in the straights.

Anyone in the Albany NY area hat can help me with this? Or any adice would be helpfull.

PS im pretty sure i cant beat ANY 3 lap magics.

I just cant beat it, im getting so upet over it. Why must the people at PD make these things so hard? I want to get ahold of the guy who set these times and rough him up real good.

I tried it for the first time and won by 0.589. my last split time was 3.xxx. In the tricky part you need to sacrifine the normal racing line to take the next turn easily and brake as soon as the red shift indicator flashes and you should be okay. And one last thing draft EVERY car you pass on the long straight.

This is how I did it. For the first turn brake to around 45 MPH and stay on the inside, once you get to where you are about to exit the corner and go into that short left hander onto the straght, gun it, you should be able to get out of there doing about 65. On the first set of 90 degree turns slow to about 35-37, this will make it easier to get to the outside before the next corner. Once you get through those, you can go through the next 90 degree turns at about 45-50. On the last turn, take it at about 33MPH, once again before the end of the corner, gun it. I beat him by 1.xxx seconds. If you do this consitantly(sp?) for all three laps you should be good. Hope this helps and good luck 👍

getting through the 90-degree turn section smoothly and cleanly (and keeping the revs up) is the key.

Carrying your braking into the turn is a guarantee of failure. You must get all your braking done before you turn into the corner. Then its a matter of learning how to modulate the throttle just right to get around the corner best. Too little throttle and you understeer. Too much throttle and you understeer. Just the right amount of throttle and the old girl actually corners fairly decently.

Some say don't use the red gear selector light as a brake point indicator, but I found it worked pretty well. I started braking just after the light starts blinking on almost every corner, and it seemed to work out fine.

Have you forgotten about trail-braking???

Smoothness is the key to Mission 11 i reckon. Took me a few attempts, but you get there in the end.

Braking points would depend on how much speed you have at the end of the straight.
Maybe the ones that say brake just before the braking indicator starts to flash have 2-3 mph more speed than what you had.
Braking points also vary depending on how much pressure is applied to the buttons or foot pedals.
I found by picking a feature to use as a braking point made my laps more consistant than relying on the flashing light.

Make sure to maximize each gear. By that I mean don't shift at the redline. Let it go about 1K past redline, then shift. The car still has a lot to give even after the redline, so take advantage. Every last bit of speed helps.

If you're driving auto, hold down R2 before it gets to redline and let go of it when you want it to shift.
