Good stuff matt...welcome to the darkside...

WHy does that car on your first page look like RG3s car?

Great work on the Evo II. I love that car!!! 👍 Sweet rims you've got under yours. :) Mine has got the rims of the NSX LM road car.

RG3???

...

Hes on the vortex...its his screen name...it just has different wheels than before. The ones on the mk3 on your front page look to be Rial daytonas...but it used to have some discontinued OZ wheels...I have pics at home.

Not yet  I'm still looking on a settled deal, but does this sound good to you?

a 1998 Volkswagen Golf GTi 2.0 with 69,XXX miles for $6700? Some people said it's a good price, but some people said too much. I think it's good. What do you think? (This is real life, it's not related to gaming) :)

Id need to see pics of said car to see if its worth 6700....it could but it would need a lot done to it. That year had a VR6 available...if it had a VR6 than I would be more inclined to say yes. I sent you an IM...get with me on AIM

Seems a little high for a 98 with almost 70k miles. But what the hell do I know, I'm a Suabru and former Honda guy.

The miles dont worry me...my 2001 has 63k and is fine...its more the engine it has....if it has some aftermarket items, clean paint/interior , it might be worth it. My buddy had a 2.0 that had a ton of goddies on it and would easily demand that price. Its reliable but you would want an engine swap to a VR6 to really get a good VW fix. The 2.0 doesnt rev out like a honda does....you have to get the engines that have the down low torque that really makes a VW a VW. If it does have a lot of attention to it...it might be worth the money but it has to be well taken car of. You could turbo it and get some good numbers out of it though. Send me some pics Matt....I really have to see it before telling you what to look for.

Oh, I don't know anything about VW's, I know that 70k miles on a japenese car is nothing though. Got any pics of your car vr6, I'd show you mine but my subie is completely stock, although I can show you my old civic.

 Gangsta car VR6!! And Krame 70,000 is a lot of miles, and it depends on which Japanese. car.

Well, no pics of the car yet, I heard of a deal on it. I might go to the dealership and take some pics. And about the swap, I don't wanna do a swap in a VW to a VR6. I rather just buy tge VR6, but the $ is unavailable for that. And the '98 Golf had a motor swap already cause some one blew the motor out before.

You guys really have no clue how tired I am. It's 10:33 PM right now and I've been riding my bike since 11 O'Clock AM today. Tommorow morning I'll post the update since I'm spraying my bike over as well...

And Rohrl or what ever, I never did an Evo II...
Yes you did! Check the license plate of the Merc 190. It's not only Mitsubishi that makes Evo's! ;) In any case, I love the car, and your pics of it!!!

A motor swap and a engine replacement are two totally different things:yuck:

Post some pics of the car your looking at....

You dont "have" to swap a 98 vr6....swap a VR6 out of an R32....it would give you 240 to the front wheels....all motor....expect 10k for that though...if you settle on a older VR6...expect 6k

aaaww, that sucks. Are you doing the subie?

Subie?? The Subaru?

JFM - wait till later on today :p

Rohfl (Keep forgetting your name) - Now I understand :D

VR6 - How much do '01 - '05 GTi's cost used?? I'm starting to like those now :) But I still rather get MKIII

No prob! :)

By the way, it's Rohrl-fan. Walter Rohrl is a former rally-driver. He was world champion in '80 & '82 and was the only one to win a rally with the most extreme variant of the Audi quattro. These days he's chief test-driver at Porsche. The 911 GT3 & the Carrera GT are just some of his projects.
