I received my interface from Dave (interfaceone) during the week and finally had the opportunity to give it a try this afternoon. Well, all I can say is, it does exactly as it says on the tin! :)

Works absolutely flawlessly with my GT2 and SST shifter 👍 The only thing I had to do was to calibrate the shifter with the wheel (a very easy process covered in the Fanatec manual). Tried it with Forza 3, GT5 and iRacing and it's spot on.

Dave has been very helpful from day-one. Always replying to PM's quickly and taking time and care to ensure that everything is how you want it (had the option to decide where reverse gear is for example). The interface was well packaged and arrived safe and sound via recorded post.

I highly recommend it. My only issue is that it would have been nice to have the PCB fitted into an enclosure or box rather than the bare board but, that's a minor issue and one that I can easily resolve myself. No biggy... :)

So, 9 out of 10 from me.

👍:)👍

Thanks for feedback, I did design the pcb to fit in a box but by the time I added the cost of the box and the machining of box along with mounting kit, it came out at about an extra £12 onto the project.

I had noticed other pcb's for sim racing being sold on the web without boxes and decided to go for the 'keep the price lower' option.

Above price was for doing batches of ten boxes.

Haven't checked iRacing forums in awhile but I trust you advertised the product on those forums as well? That is the 'hardcore' sim community when it comes to buying sim equipment and many will surely already have a SST. You're looking at a nice potential market there. You should also try announcing you product on virtualr and Inside Sim Racing for more exposure

interface would it be possible for you to modify it to work with a G25 shifter also. Many people have these shifters also. 👍

Can I use the new Thrustmaster shifter that is coming out? I would order immediately! I have a Gt2 a turbo S and will be ordering a CSR Elite. Work on all three with TH8?

Thanks

I'm also considering a new wheel for my PS3 / GT5.

If this interface can handle the TH8 RS shifter, that would definitely influence my decision towards a Fanatec CSW with ClubSport (v2?) pedals and combine the best of all worlds together as long as there's no Clubsport shifter yet.

Otherwise I'm likely to go for the fully supported T500RS. >>> NOT ANYMORE

Hello Interfaceone,
I am very interested in your interface.
Any prices available?
No, because he's not allowed to sell items here.

Ok here we go. The interface only works for the SST lightning at this time. I am at the moment developing the same interface to also work for the Frex H shifter. The interface at the moment does not work for the TH8, but that's next on my list.

The interface should work with Turbo S, GT2, CSR and I think CSR Elite. Basically if it works with fanatec's bog standard H shifter then it will work with the interface.

Just a footnote interfaceone can also be found on

Thats great, I really want to get the TH8 because it so closely matches the finish of my VR3 rig. Please update or PM me when this is available and I'll purchase. :)

thanks

Hello interfaceone.

I'm very interested in your device. I have the GT2 wheel, and have the TH8 shifter on order. Should be delivered mid Dec. I will purchase your interface when available for the TH8.

Good work.👍

I'll follow this thread for further updates.

For all you TH8 RS fans out there. I'm getting one delivered tomorrow and will start coding the interface as soon as possible.

One thing is, I think I can only get the TH8 to work in H mode. I will need to redesign the PCB and add a few components to allow the TH8 sequential to work.

Anyone have a problem with TH8 H mode only?.

Nope, I use the original Fanatec sequential with an aftermarket shift knob on it for sequential. The meat and potatoes of the TH8 is the H mode! :D

TH8 with sequential is only a very nice to have, didn't have that functionality on the G27 so I can get used to that :-)

But it doesn't sound like a simple "upgrade" option for later...well I may just buy this one anyway and the sequential interface later on if you manage to get it working.

Just received my TH8 from Amazon today.:)

Very good solid build quality. Now waiting for my VR3 black to be delivered next week so I have something to mount it on. Clamped it to a small table just to try it out. Not very stable, and not in proper position, but shifter works great.👍

Hope your interface is available soon.:)

Yeah my TH8 will be here tomorrow can't wait for this!

Mille, let me know if you need any help or tips with the VR3. If you can get the tri-monitor mount, its a work of art.

Hi Mayaman.

How are you planning to mount the TH8 to the VR3. I've only seen photos off the VR3's shifter mount at this time. I was hoping to hard mount it, possibly drilling 3 holes in the existing plate and bolting it down.

At this point I'm planning on using a 50" HD flat screen on it's own mount. I've never used a setup with triple monitors. Do you feel triples are better than 1 large screen?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Mille, take a look at my thread about my custom VR3. In a word, triple large monitors with projectors destroys a single large screen.

My Bob Earl racing chassis is used in front of both a 67" Samsung LED, and I move it over from time to time to play on the 110" curved screen. Both are single displays.

My VR3 with the VisionRacer triple mount has triple 46" projection screens. To be honest I can't convey in words how much better the triple rig is because it would just sound like exaggeration. But its miles better, not even in the dame ballpark.

I'm running an Alienware PC with it. Triple PS3 for GT5. And triple 360s for Forza 3 and Forza 4. I can't really play on my other rig anymore because it feels I have blinders on.

I'm almost done setting up this new rig. I've been playing the last week with wires all over the place but by tomorrow night I'll have it tidy and neat. I'll post more pics and a video. But check my VR3 thread for early stage shots.

I checked out your VR3 thread, very cool projection screen. I have some questions about triple screen setup and usage. Should probably address them there and not derail this thread too much. I'll jump over and ask there.

Great to see you look at the TH8.

It is a beautiful looking shifter and reviews seem to be promising.
This would be superb if you can get it to work with Xbox and more than the T500 compatible games on PS3.

All,
I just wanted to mention that I just got this and it works flawlessly for the Frex Hshift+. I can finally ditch my cheesy plastic Fanatec shifter for good! :D
This is a must have accessory for any Fanatec wheel user.

Hi All,
Got one of these from interfaceone a few months ago but i didn't get my TH8 shifter until last week so i wasn't able to comment on it.
Firstly, id just like to say that Dave is a pleasure to deal with. Communication was unbelievable as he replies to every email super quick. He really cares for the sim racing community.
Secondly, the interface is INCREDIBLE!!!
It's so good to have a shifter that is the same standard as the Fanatec GT2 wheel FOR the GT2 wheel.
I haven't tried the sequential mode yet as ive been having too much fun with the H pattern, but the H pattern works flawlessly.
One thing though, 7th gear does not work because there is no 7th gear on the Fanatec standard shifter so you cannot calibrate the 7th gear on the wheel. This no big deal because pretty much every car that has a 7th gear is a car which i drive with the flappy paddles so i don't even use the shifter (try using H pattern with clutch on an F1 car haha).
Words cannot express how happy i was when i first plugged the interface in and used the TH8 shifter.

Huge thanx to Dave for his hard work and effort to have these things made and sent out to us that ordered them.

Cheers,
Antony

I am willing to pay someone for there used interfaceone at NEW COST (£60) If you are willing to sell your interface please PM me asap!
