Ah, so the CLR hasn't made it in yet. No wonder I haven't found it. I don't really want to use Discord, does anyone have a prize car list by chance?

It has been a while since i've released a mod hasn't it? Time flies ^^'

Anyways, have a treat~

An adaptation of the Beta Copperhead LM + the RM colors from GT1 demos.
I say adaptation because i had to drastically optimize it, as it was way beyond the maximum file size (even in GT1, hence why the car crashed the game)

And while i was at it, i decided to rework the Copperhead RM so that the Silver color wasn't lost (the hardtop had to go sadly, not because I couldn't manage it, but because there's no way to toggle the reflectiveness of the roof per paint color, so it would've been a matte hardtop, or shiny soft roof, both look weird)
With a good bit of trickery and optimization, now the Copperhead RM combines all the versions from GT1's spoilerless version, to GT2's.
Enjoy~

EDIT 04/02: I realised i forgot to post a link to the files, which forces y'all to go on youtube to get it. Sorry~

My version of the Griffith RM from GT1 JP~There are slight improvements made on the model, and lots of little optimisation bits here and there.
I made this to specifically replace the Griffith B340's RM, as since it came from GT1JP, and the B340 was a japanese trim... it was appropriate.
  • Accurate wheels based on aftermarket BBS rims, recolored to match the car in GT1.
  • Changed the windshield banner's text from "Griffith500" to "GriffithB340" based on the car's carlogo
  • Recolored LOD2's stripes that were washed out and mostly bad
  • Altered LOD1 slightly by giving it proper decals on the doors rather than an ugly and mis-colored blob
Enjoy~

(Gif "rendered" from the garage menu in-game btw)

Also before anybody asks, the RM is already in GT2 plus, pez did his own conversion a while ago. This is my own conversion, because i like doing things myself for these things :P

Download the files here

EDIT: And because we don't want the 2 colors that were originally on the B340 RM (light blue and purple), there they are all on the Griffith 500. That was a direct port, zero need for me to touch anything lol

Ladies and gents: we got 'em
After multiple attempts over almost 3 years, and some actually working proof of concept from SenaUW/MMRivit, one major hindrance to mods is finally squashed!
Custom Rally opponents are a go!
That still won't fix them breaking if you use the wrong FPS mode (25-50/30-60), replays can only be record either at 25/30 or at 50/60 fps!
But the ability to rebalance rally cars is now open without breaking the rally races!
And also the demo replays i guess lol

Hello everyone !
Hope this is the right place to ask a question : I've installed Gran Turismo 2 A-Spec mod on USB to play on my original PS2 (using OPL)
So far I was able to start the game and access the menues and all
My problem is that all car models appears as a full blacked model and the game crashes everytime I try to enter an event... Is it normal ? Perhaps this mod wasn't meant to be played on the original hardware but I could not find any info anywhere...
Thanks in advance for your help
(Admins and mods ,feel free to delete this message if it doesn't belong here)

I am pretty sure that's an issue with what you're using to run the game, I myself had encountered the black cars problem once years ago following a similar method. I would suggest finding another means of running the game.

If your region is France, that may be the issue. GT2 A-Spec is for the NTSC version of GT2 only, not PAL. So you need to make sure you install it over the correct version of GT2. It does work on real hardware, but being NTSC, that means it works on NTSC consoles only, which were those released in the US.

If you don't have access to an NTSC PSX, then you should try running it on ePSXe or Duckstation on your PC/Laptop (also works on mobile devices). But make sure you install the mod on the NTSC version of GT2. Please note, you should obtain a copy legally and links to downloads will not be provided here.

If you do have an NTSC PSX, then try the ISO on a PC/Laptop running in Duckstation or ePSXe and seeif the issue remains. If so, try re-ripping the ISO from the original NTSC disk and reinstalling the mod.

Is there a tutorial for changing car models? I downloaded the CLK-GTR model and want to replace a certain car ingame with that model with the A-Spec mod installed if that's possible to do seeing as A-Spec already replaces/adds a bunch of cars. The car model was left alone but the dimensions are off, similar to GT5 Hybrid modding would that effect stuff like wheel placement, suspension .etc?

Question, these individual car mods can be "installed" (for the lack of a better word) to a modded GT2 game? Like the A-spec mod?

Hi there! I have couple of questions:

1) Where I can download GT2 A-Spec mod? (I want to test new cars) And how stable mod is wright now?
Solved

2) Is DeLorean DMC12 planned to be added to A-Spec mod?
