Modding Vice City

it looks like a crashed car.. for example, my S2000 has a crashed front end and you can see the custom engine.

I use Car Ed.
I don't like Car Stats cause lean angle for bikes can't be adjusted.
Sometimes, I also adjust settings in he handling file.

Just changed the damage level of my weapons. My chaingun can blow a car with 2 bullets(i.e. 2 shots)

errr.. well you can just use www.gtareactor.de (go to google if you want to translate it, it's in German).

there aren't many car mods out officially for Vice City yet, but you can use the .TXD and .DFF files from the original GTA3 car mods.
 
to install the mods, you need a IMGtool, TXDeditor, Notepad, and PC version of GTA: Vice City.

you also need to know how to read directions and change the attributes to files (right clicking on them ;) )
 
how do you get these things from shops or downloads of the internet or somting else could somone make a nissan skyline r34 gtr and i seen you can download them how does that work.
Can you make any car with anything thing on it with spoilers ans vents.
how do you create the cars.

well some computer based knowledge is required, but I imagine it'd be pretty easy for a complete newbie to computers to figure out. but it basically depends on what kind of mods you are doing to it.

you download them from the internet. I'm sure someone could make a Nissan Skyline R34 GTR, I know I've seen some Nissan Skylines, but dunno if they were R34 GTR or not. To download them, you just go to a website that has car mods and click download. To add it in the game, you have to replace one of the older vehicles (for say, a Sentinel will be replaced with the new skyline). And yes, you can make any car with anything on it as long as you're good at 3d modeling programs and have a lot of spare time pending what you're trying to do.

where do you get the IMGtool and the TXdeditor from?
and is there any websites that would help through the process of strating and making mods.
 
If you don't know how to use 3d modeler programs, it will take some time before you can design your own car to look good. But if you go to http://gtareactor.de/ and click on Tools (GTA3 or ViceCity, doesnt matter which one its under.), you should find it in there. Although the site is in German, the titles are in English, description you don't really need, you just click on the Download button and a little pop up window will apear and you just have to wait for the Download to start.

I've been wondering something epic, do you have any anti-aliasing? I mean, that's a lot of jaggies I see on those screenshots.
 
it has something to do with the game, I haven't installed the new patch for it yet. another thing is because I saved it down from 800k to 80k
 
that site didn't give me much help thanx anyway but do you know any sites that i can download IMGtool and the TXdeditor in english so i can start making mods how long does it take to learn how to do it could you epic try to make the skyline from 2 fast to furious with the nos aswell.
could you teach me how to start up and use the programs to make cars, please i will be very grateful.
 
I can link you to the tools, and give you a tutorial, but the car I can't do, you would need 8 high quality pictures of it. 1 of front view, rear view, side view, tires, roof view, interior, dashboard, and side panels for the doors.
 
I'll have to write the tutorial, but I'll have links to the tools in the tutorial, it should be up before midnight
