I had a lot of these things as a kid, but a few months ago, saw some in a department store and picked up a few. ('67 Stingray, S2000, Jaguar E-Type)

Anyway, I looked for some link for these and found Exoto.com. These things look nice, but they're incrediably expensive. There's a "numbered, limited edition" Le Mans Ford GT40 Mk II for $600. And no, I didn't miss a decimal point. Anyone getting one? For that much, maybe it also has a working gas engine.

Some of the others are less, but still pricey. A '65 Cobra Daytona for $160.

Hey, my 200th post! Since late February. Yeah, I know, compared to some people in there that's pretty measly. But that makes me eligible for personalized avtars or something, doesn't it?

I've made a TON of model airplanes. If you're thinking about getting into model making consider airplanes. I find they are much easier and quicker to build. I've built a few model cars:

1:24 Porsche 911 GT1(Tamiya)
1:24 Viper GTS metal kit.

I've got a few die cast cars:

1:18 1999 CART Bobby Rahal car(Minichamps)
1:18 Mercedes CLK-GTR Race car(Maisto)
1:18 Mercedes CLK-GTR street car(Maisto)
1:18 New Beetle(Burago)
1:43 Dodge Conceot Copperhead

I've ordered die cast cars from http://www.replicarz.com/ You should check that place out. They have a lot of the cars from the Gran Turismo games like the C5R:

For model cars newbies 'die cast' means already put together. Model 'kits' you put together.
