Yeah, the spur gear completely stripped and took out the pinion gear with it after I was fiddling with the force of their meshing. Evidently, there was too much force.
Yesterday I replaced the rear left lower control arm, and the front right body mount. The shock mount for the control arm got stripped shortly after I got the car, so I fixed it with epoxy. It didn't hold together very well, and I was bored, so I replaced it. Cleaned up under the skidplate and around the suspension as well while I had it apart, but I'm afraid that I might have gotten some water in the differential, as the driveshafts are out of the car. It shouldn't hurt it, though, because I don't think the differentials are sealed around the shafts, and would let water in when assembled.
