The engine available was the same of the MR-S ZZW30, an all-aluminium 1ZZ-FED, a 1794 cc inline-four. The engine used dual overhead camshafts and 16 valves. It had a power output of 138 hp, which was not much, however, the curb weight of the car is of approximately 995 kg.
