Just a thought following the new fella's question about putting the M5 in GT4P in GT3. Theres a buch of guys who figured out you could hack the prolouge disk rip the info off it and by messing with it and swapping info and files around you could burn it all onto a blank disk and be able to play on different tracks. Would there be a way to rip the cars off say GT4:P or GTC and add them to the correct directory, file or whatever on a GT3 disk? You'd have to rip the GT3 disk and then burn it all onto a new one for it to work, if it will actually work in the first place.

I doubt it.

I'm led to believe that GT4/GT4P uses a different car modelling programme to GT3 - both to put the damn things in there and to read them once they are there. Even if you could dunk the M5 in place of, say, the Daihatsu Sirion/Storia, the game would most likely crash if it tried to read it.

You're right.
Parts and settings are similar, but data for the physical model are totally different.

Yeah, to be honest the extracted car files aren't clearly named. If they were like the tracks I suppose it could work. :indiff:
