Mods, how about changings the Perl forum to...

I was just curious how many people would like to see C/C++/C#/Java forum replace the, almost never used, Perl forum? Or just make another forum including those 4 languages.

Oh yea, maybe also add a Hardware forum where people can write their reviews about the components in their computer or ask about the newly available hardware? ;)

yes...i mentioned just creating new forums!

The only reason why I suggested to rename those forums to C/C++/C#/Java was because Perl forum seems to be, well, dead. I have absolutely nothing against the language.

I 2nd this motion. :) I use C, C++, and Java every single week, and it would be great to see a resource on GTPlanet for this. The forum is called "Computers & Electronics", after all.

Yes, that does sound like a good idea. Perhaps it would be best if the current PHP and Perl forum were merged into a new "Programming Languages" forum, where all languages could be discussed.

Thanks for the revival, WanganDreams. The PHP forum has been renamed and the Perl forum is no longer with us.

I've created some guidelines for use of the new programming forum. I would be appreciative if people could have a look at them, and bear them in mind when using the forum.
