Monitor Help

Hi guys, I have I budget of around £270 and looking to purchase a monitor to hook up to the ps3 via hdmi.

After some research I found the BenQ G2400W 24”,

,which seemed a bargain considering its size and resolution.

However, looking in some other forums, many monitors are said to display 16:10 aspect ratio rather than 16:9, and therefore the images are distorted or stretched when connected to a ps3. I wondered if this problem applied to the BenQ G2400W as I’m not sure. Has anyone had any experience with this monitor before?

99% of all monitors are native 16:10. Some monitors have 16:9 switching (As I believe some Dell Ultrasharps do).

Mine is a 16:10 native, a Gateway, but I believe that it will automatically adjust when you change the input that you're using. Something about the software in there, I dunno, but its a nice monitor for $120 with HD capabilities...

YSSMAN, i'm having trouble finding Gateway monitors to buy in store, rather than online. Did you buy yours online?

Gateway may be a North American-only market brand, however, they are owned by Acer, so I'm pretty sure that there is a compatible monitor available through them.
