I was looking at the side of my laptop to get to know it better and found that I have no idea what this is:

My old multimedia laptop had no such port and the user manual said nothing more than its a monitor port. As well as its so small it compairs to my phone charger.
Sorry if this is obvious but I want to know what this is.

Are you sure it looks a bit too small to be a Mini HDMI when you compare it. (maybe this is a better view)

Well it's not Minidisplay Port or Mini DVI. So I think it would be Mini HDMI (unless it's some proprietary thing). Though I'm sure if you google the model number of your laptop you'll be able to find out.

Well I can't find my model on the samsung website so my other best reference was bestbuy where I bought it but that also tells me nothing nor does the user manual except that is a monitor port and the symbol is one screen different than something like avi that has a screen and two bars.

I'm with Casio on this, it's a mini HDMI port.

Had one on my old GPU. It came with an adaptor so you could use normal HDMI cable if you didn't want to buy another cable.

I've often thought the hole was too small as well, you're looking at it thinking ,"No way will that fit in there", but turns out it fits perfectly.

Had the same experience with Mini-HDMI as well.

Looks like mini hdmi as well, but what's weird is why would they give you normal HDMI and a mini hdmi?

What's brand model number of your laptop.

You said you can't find the model number.

On the bottom of your laptop it should say the model number.

According to Samsung, it's a miniaturized VGA output. It requires an adapter.

Ah! That would make sense since many regular VGA ports have the same logo above the port. I also checked a US model on Samsung's website and it says that it needs a dongle(Just an adapter pretty much. Funny thing is that they don't detail the port is Mini-VGA on their website so it could be something entirely different) to make use of VGA. Best to send a email to Samsung to make sure what that port is and if it's Mini-VGA(I don't know why but that's not the shape of a Mini-VGA port from your pictures but it seems more like a Micro-HDMI port. So it's very confusing to accept).

Oh I see now Samsung just uses this port that is a form of a VGA to save space but sells an adapter for the full size VGA cable. That would also explain the confusion as to why this would have two HDMI ports when infact it has a VGA and a HDMI.
Well thank you all, I don't think I'll be using VGA but it's always good to know.
